Motel 6 Cocoa Beach, FL

The photos displayed on Expedia do not reflect the actual condition of this property. The images appear staged and presentable, but the room I received was in extremely poor condition. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, pet hair on the bed, and spiders present in the room. I am including a photo documenting the pet hair as evidence. The flooring and furniture were heavily worn, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The listing also indicates that the property has a lobby, but there is no functional lobby on site. The building appears neglected and in need of significant maintenance. I am genuinely concerned about how this property continues to operate with a valid license, given its current state. The check‑in process was equally problematic. Their reservation system was not functioning, resulting in a 1 hour and 30 minute delay before I could access my room. During this time, another guest was requesting a refund, which now makes complete sense based on my own experience. Given the misleading photos and the condition of the property, I strongly believe Expedia should re‑evaluate whether this motel should remain listed. The current listing does not accurately represent the reality of the stay and may put travelers at risk of an unpleasant or unsafe experience

Shower was not hot , so they had it fixed and gave us a free late checkout so we could shower before we left

The room was dirty. No garbage bags, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, the 3 roaches we killed came free, my husband was taking out our dog after it rained and because of the fact there are no gutters the rain had pooled on the walk way it was slimmy and and my husband fell. This place is cheaper but it is nasty.

For it being in a tourist location the place should be better taken care of with amenities

No fridge or safe or microwave Only serving coffee no milk and not good coffee so don’t try not worth Room was ok for the price But location is great and the pool was clean and nice No pool towel

The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful to me. I told her I already had my hotel in Orlando and I went over there just to visit Cocoa Beach. But due to the storm and the rain, I got afraid and I felt obligated to book one night in order to go back to Orlando the next day. She really encouraged me to visit the city and the beach without booking a room because the weather was gonna be fine. And she cancelled my booking for free and I got my refund and she was true ! After two hours, the weather got better and I drove back to Orlando safely like she told me. I was very lucky to find that lady at the front desk! Thank you very much When I come back to Cocoa Beach I will definitely book with you because the location is just amazing, close to everything!

Nothing Had issues with water room without microwave also had dead roaches

The location was great close to beach and activities and at a great value. Staff tried very hard to meet my standards by showing me multiple rooms to choose from. The room I booked was discussing, I showed the manger and we went to two or three more rooms that wasn't any better I ended up getting a refund and renting an Airbnb for a little more money.

Nothing Smell of mold, dirty outside, trash piled on stairs, guests playing loud music all hours, toilet barely flushed. Bed was terribly hard

The room has cockroaches

that it was pet friendly and close to the beach beds we’re a little uncomfortable and the Internet didn’t come in

the staff was nice the hotel/motel could us some upgrades and the location I get is busy but needs a make over. thedoor to the room didn't close all the way, the tub needs to be scrubbed, the doors in the room needs a good cleaning. Maintence guy was rude, he poured water out next to my aunts luggager and did not say excuse me or anything.

Our Aug. 16 stay was also unacceptable. We paid $59.82 through Expedia PLUS $60 directly to the hotel for early check-in. Room 202 was disgusting and had NO HOT WATER. We had just returned from an 8-day cruise and booked the room specifically to shower and rest before leaving at 2 AM for our flight home to Massachusetts. I don’t expect luxury from a budget hotel, but a clean room, hot water, and the safe return of property management confirmed they recovered are basic expectations. I have photos/video and have contacted Motel 6 and Expedia requesting a full refund. I would not stay here again.
