My most disappointing experience with a booking.com property. Everything was subpar. Not clean, bed was uncomfortable (sloping to one side), noisy and inconvenient location.

Hotel was a 20 minute walk from the central train station, and easy to find . the reception was unmanned and took 5 minute for someone to appear . The room was large and airrie with a view of the Dom . There are two types of room . a classic room with older style furniture and decor and the modern room . The modern room is slightly more expensive but the classic looked more German if that make sense . The pedestrian zone starts at the street next to the hotel and goes all the way down to the river where the older area of cologne is . but I would say full of tourest in the summer . so if your looking for somewhere quieter this hotel is a better bet. We didnt include breakfast in our booking and im glad we didnt as it looked very bland and lacking in choice . There was not coffee or tea making facilities in the room , we were told that there was free coffee in the dinning area However after 1 pm the coffee machine was turned off and the milk container removed so it wouldnt turn back on with out it inserted , If you wanted a coffee first thing in the morning you had to go down to the dinning area to make a coffee and then bring it back up two flight of stairs to the room/

The building was very old. The sink was clogged, so the water wouldn’t drain. The shower didn’t produce any hot water. But the location was very good and convenient to sightseeing. Old property

De kamer was schoon, aardig behulpzaam personeel en het hotel ligt gunstig in de stad, daar had ik het op uitgezocht maar toch

Het personeel bezonder vriendelijk, ontbijt was goed verzorgd, kamer was netjes. Ideaal was dat wij bij het hotel konden parkeren.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft die Geräuschisolierung: Die Türen und Zimmerwände sind nicht besonders schalldicht, sodass man Aktivitäten auf dem Flur teilweise gut hören kann. Für empfindliche Gäste könnte das störend sein, für mich war es jedoch kein gravierender Nachteil. Ein besonders schönes Highlight ist die tägliche Kaffee-und-Kuchen-Stunde um 16 Uhr, die für Hotelgäste inklusive ist – eine wirklich nette Geste und ein Moment zum Entspannen. Zum Frühstück kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben, da ich es nicht gebucht hatte. Alles in allem ist das Hotel Tante Alma eine empfehlenswerte Adresse für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Köln: zentral gelegen, sauber, herzlich und mit liebevollen Extras.

The location is perfect! Just few minutes walk to shopping street, good restaurants, and public traffic. They have their private parking with a gate. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is good with the 15€ charge.

Superheimeliges toll eingerichtetes Hotel im Zentrum von Köln zur Begrüßung gibts ein Gläschen Eierlickör und Nachmittags gibts gratis Kaffee und Kuchen, super !

Other guests were audible through the walls on some nights. The shower took quite a while to warm up and seemed overdue for maintenance (The shower head was quite clogged up, for instance.)

The room was fairly spacious, the bathroom was clean, and the tea room was fabulous The mattress wasn't the best

The whole street outside is filled with bars and clubs. Even on the third floor you could listen to the banter. It didn't help that some people sat outside the door to the Hotel.
