It was a very comfortable stay. The staff were kind and attentive. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast had several nice options to choose from. The value was absolutely exceptional. None.

Good location, easy access to hotel with car and lift from garage to reception hall. Big parking places. Little noisy corner room, but acceptable. I expected something more on breakfast. One slow coffee machine is not enough.

FANTASTIC BREAKFAST, location is great, friendly staff. Also, you CAN park an electric scooter right outside. Terrible pillows (too soft - like all German hotels) and it was summer, so 'good air con' would have been nice. If you get a taxi there from Hauptbahnhof - the taxi driver will HATE you because the journey is only 400m.

No doubt about it: this is a quirky hotel, and feels a bit like sleeping in a former Catholic seminary (perhaps it is?). However, it offers exceptional value for this location in Cologne. The room was huge, with lots of windows, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast in particular exceeded my expectations--the buffet is huge, with great quality and selection. Oh--and a wonderful drinking water machine in the lobby provides cool water (both sparkling and flat) at any time--a very nice touch! The lighting in the rooms should really be rethought. A bright light in the entry way is on a motion-censor trigger. If someone in the room gets up to use the bathroom at night, you will probably be woken up too, when this light is inevitably triggered.

So clean, with a convenient location to the Cathedral and train station. The lights were a bit difficult. Couldn’t turn off the closet light without taking the key card out….That meant all the electricity was off (ie nothing charged overnight…).
