Perfect location, great bathrooms, all the areas in general were great and I got the best bed of them all next to a window with a view to a park and restaurants on the other side of the street. Nothing bad about this place.

Great location. Cool building Kitchen is a joke (small/unequipped), carpets are disgusting, shower made a mess and didn’t drain.

Best location in town! It had a small kitchen

The kitchen and bathrooms were dirty.

Pros - location right in old town was great. Rooms were clean and spacious (for a hostel) and the facilities were better than expected. It is in an old house and my private room had a balcony over the garden. AC worked well and the bathroom was clean with good hot water. Lots of shared spaces. The bar had reasonable food and was a good place to hang out in the evening. This was one of the better hostels I've used in Latin America. I had a private room, so can't speak for the dorms. Was quiet after 11 pm. I loved this hostel. Cons - not much. Colonia is an expensive place to stay so the value for money was quite good. The hallway carpets could use a good cleaning, or at least a vacuum but there was construction happening in a room nearby so that might explain the dirt.

I mistakenly picked a taxi ride from where the Buquebus boat arrives to where the hostel is - I could've walked it's that close! The front deskman was very kind and helpful during my stay! I stayed a couple of nights and the location was next to all the main sights that people come to see in Colonia. There's not much to do in Colonia so I embraced the quiet and I enjoyed renting a bicycle from the hostel to ride along the town and then the coastline for sunset - a highlight to my trip. I didn't use the kitchen except to grab a fork but although it's small, it's there if you need it. Big hangout areas on the main floor. I didn’t know there was a pool though until filling out this form now haha. My room was comfy - had a curtain and a cupboard in the bunk for smaller personal items, the private bathroom was clean and shower did what it needed to I don't know if there were activities or planned events but that would've been nice if there was a social or something to that effect. Otherwise, I slept great :)

Very cool atmosphere in a wonderful location. On our total trip of over two months in South America, this was the best shower we ever had. We were staying on a Saturday night and the music was quite loud until very late. Nevertheless, I would always come back!

The sheets of the mattress and the pillows were very old. Allergic people, take care.

Gorgeous building

Location was pretty nice a gateaway to old town Colonia, also the hostel has a cozy feeling to it. It was clean and comfortable Sometimes it felt a bit dated (decor and feel) but I think this is part of the theme

Great central location, friendly and welcoming staff, rooms were clean and comfortable, common areas pleasant. Breakfast was quite nice as well. Given low price and a fact that it's a hostel, truly a great experience

Perfect location, right next to a lovely square, close to many restaurants, and within easy walking distance from the bus/ferry terminal. The building is pleasant and comfortable, with bike rentals available. My room was spacious, with a nice shower, well-equipped bathroom, and even a balcony. Breakfast is available for an extra fee. The terrace is very enjoyable, though the shared kitchen could be better. Overall, a great stay! The coffee was a little bit cold and could be improved with some options like cheese or ham.

In the middle of the night, two guests checked into our dormitory room for just one night, creating noise with their luggage and late arrival. It seemed unnecessary, as many other dormitory rooms appeared to be free.

The place is super well located and really big It was a bit dirty and they didn't have rules about the noice after 12am
-
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
-
Location is great but Colonia is very small so really everything works there, staff was really nice too The building was very old, didn’t offer breakfast and the coffee places nearby opened late (maybe because winter), still would be nice to have some options
-
The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent. There is a lot to do in the area, and the sunsets are magical.
-
The staff is nice Someone stole from me and some of the other guests are a little rude
