La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Colorado Springs South AP

The door key didn’t work because the door fell apart in my hand. The room stunk.

Good location. Easy to get to the interstate but doesn’t feel like you are at a hotel off the interstate. Breakfast was good. Parking was easy. Not the cleanest and wall were thin.

The doors and walls were thin allowing noise from the hallway into the rooms. Also light from the hallway was visible all the way around the door.

This morning, we asked the front desk to move rooms due to the maintenance issues, but we were told we couldn’t be switched until 1 p.m. I would not recommend this location based on the staff response and lack of urgency with these issues. The hotel lobby looked dirty and the gazebo outside was broken

Carpets are stained and bathroom tile is nasty. Never stay there again.

It was very dirty, the staff didn't treat me well, and everything was terrible; I would never stay there again.

Breakfast the first morning was a disaster. Cold scrabble eggs and burnt sausage. Long line for the only hot pancake food. Room had not been cleaned prior to arrival. Hair dryer was inoperable and light switches thru out the room did not work. A place to stay and sleep before hitting the road.

This hotel is in a great location close to a movie theater, many restaurants and even target. Enjoyed our stay, staff allowed is to do early check in, so thankful cause it was much needed as we got into town earlier than anticipated. Pool was freezing but everyone and everything else was a joy!

2 big centipedes in the bathroom

This may be the dirtiest and poorly run hotel I have ever stayed at. The front desk staff were great, but there was always an insanely long line. This was an issue because the key cards were constantly deactivating. I booked two rooms. One smelled of mildew and had the dirtiest carpet I have ever seen. I woke up with a sore throat every morning. The second room had trash and used toiletries left in the bathroom. Beds were okay. The pool was dirty and freezing and most of the outdoor furniture was broken. The real kicker, I was charged $500 additional for both rooms and have yet to receive an answer as to why. I assume it is a “smoking” fee, but nobody smoked in the rooms. I was charged over $1600 for a 1 star hotel. Stay far away from this one.

Had to bring your own towels to the front to exchange for clean towels. They wouldn't clean your room unless you made reservations to have it cleaned the day before, and even then they didn't do it. The process of getting your room cleaned is not advertised anywhere, you just figure it out when they don't clean The breakfast was well maintained.

The rooms were very dirty. I could not get myself to take a shower in this place. LA QUINTA used to be a nice place to stay, sad to see these properties falling apart and not being upgraded or at least deep cleaned. pet friendly, get rid of the carpet at least.

Found several items from a previous traveler in the room (made me question the cleanliness of the room), possible pink mold in the shower, and the pool was freezing cold.

The pool is not heated and was full of floating leaves but that wasn't a huge problem. With the economy as it is, I go for lower price rooms. You get what you pay for - the room has some flaws but I'm not that picky. It was clean and that's all I need. Staff was friendly. Parking easy and close. Breakfast good.

This is a decent hotel. I would recommend calling ahead regard large booking and animals. The appearance of the hotel looks run-down. Its clean and maintained, but could really use a facelift. It is my sincerest hope, this hotel renovates.

I was told it was first come first serve, so why have reservations I was faithfail to Laquinta but no more and Expedia can Kiss My $%#

Horrible breakfast tasted like soap, mildue smell on second floor and rooms. Rooms were being overbooked. Big problem with 3rd party reservations. The reservations that I had made for a 2 bed room was already taken. Ended up with the last room in the hotel and I think the stinky room. Will never stay in this hotel again. Would rather sleep in the car.

Disappointed that when I arrived for check in after a long day on the road I walked in to check in and before I could give my name they informed me that they had oversold rooms and there were non available. I prepaid for my room and was left searching for a hotel at midnight and trying to get my refund through Expedia, with the closest hotels all sold out I had to settle for a room that was 175 dollars more than the room I booked at La Quinta and I didn’t have that extra money to spend! I wish they could have given me the heads up well before I arrived and saved me time, energy, and money if I could have found one in a different area cheaper but no attempts to contact me were made.
