Hyatt Place Columbia/Harbison

Great stay

This hotel is disappointing from a Hyatt Place standard. The hallways has an old, moldy smell. The cushions on my couch look dirty like it needs to be reupholstered. The couch itself was broken. The end that connect was warped and collapsed. The sleep was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The hotel breakfast they offered was not good. Hard boiled eggs was really hard. The pineapple/cantaloupe mix tasted fermented. If you're wanting breakfast, head across the parking lot to Cracker Barrel. Would not stay here again.

The staff for the most part was great with the exception that they kept putting my room number wrong for late check out which caused them to enter my room at 10am on my last day. The do not disturb sign was on the door and we were still sleeping. I was told I could check out late at 2pm, then told that was incorrect due to booking through a 3rd party. There were small black ants in the room. The pool was cloudy looking the whole stay so we could not use it. The breakfast was ok and typical. There is no microwave in the room and only a shared one downstairs.There was a line on Friday night at one point for the elevator. Overall, the stay wasn't bad but it wasn't the greatest. Location is close to the interstate, shopping, and restaurants.

The room was neat and clean! The staff was amazing, so nice! I left my wallet and they returned it to me with everything in it.

Staff was nice and very helpful. My teenage grandson was able to enjoy the pool while I watched World Cup. Hotel had something for everyone. Had nice breakfast also!

I number one like the fact that it was clean. I didn't like the fact that it didn't have a microwave.

Hair was on the floor rug. Ants were crawling on the counter. No microwave were in the rooms. Tiny pillows on the bed. The couch cushions were worn, kept falling between the couch frame.

The room was large. Places to sit, and a desk. Good places to plug in your phones and other chargables. Breakfast was good with sausage and scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and fruit. Cracker Barrel was also right across the parking lot.

I did like the 12pm checkout from booking.com. I didnt like the girl at the front desk on her phone ignoring me while I pressed the doorbell to get in. A guest sitting outside watching gotnup and let me in seeing the front desk girl wasnt going to do it. The house keeper the next day tried to make me leave and after calling the front desk found out the front desk girl gave me the wrong room under somwone else's name. The housekeeper also said the room wasnt cleaned. The sheets on the sofa bed were dirty and my kids had slept on them not realizing. I didnt like that I told the front desk person the next day of what happened and they made excuses for the night desk person instead of apologizing or offering me compensation. I will never visit this hotel again.
