Quality Inn & Suites Ft. Jackson Maingate

Upon walking inside the room around 11:30pm, there was a musty smoke smell but this property advertises smoke-free rooms, the smell was highly pungent. As I walked toward the window. I noticed small things on the floor and was confused, as I turned on the lights, I realized it was clumps of dust. So if someone cleans these rooms, why are there clumps of dust? I went ahead and tried to find a Do Not Disturb sign for the door which was hanging inside the closet area, and after I put it on the door, I realized the latch lock was broken on the inside. The door lock still worked. Let’s just keep piling it all on so I can call the office and see what they can do. As I sat down on the bed, the TV remote did not have a back covering the batteries, no big deal I guess, but it also didn’t work. So there goes having TV for the night as well. Let me use the bathroom quick; wait there is a wash cloth on the floor and the toilet paper roll barely has anything on it and it was torn as if someone just used it. That pretty much topped it all off for me! Disgusting! I contacted the front desk, no answer. The lady had her baby with her when I checked in so I guess she was busy. I don’t know who else to contact. There was a fight happening outside my door, I’m not risking getting in the middle of that either! I was basically stuck in the mess until I finally escaped at 9am. YES! I’ve got pictures with timestamps and location documented.

Clean room. Had a very nice quick stay

It's hit or miss at this place. Our friends had a room that didn't have any issues. Our room: hole in wall, tiles falling off in bathroom, vanity mirror missing, toilet paper holder falling off wall, no coffee maker, bathroom door falling apart, and the whole place just didn't feel clean. The whole room needed a makeover and should not have been rented until it was repaired.

Dirty floor in room, had to wear shoes as it made your feet or socks black, cigarette butts everywhere, smell of pot smoke frequent

Smelled of marijuana. Stains on sheets. Overall shabby. Breakfast was decent.

The AC unit sends out a hummm I called it white noise. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The breakfast bar was adequate. My only issue was with an outside facing room the noise factor. People in the parking lot or traffic.

The only good thing I can say about this motel, because that’s really what it is, is that the A/C worked very well.

One of the attendance when I checked in wasn't welcoming seem to have an attitude

Worst experience ever! We arrived at 9:30 PM to get our room as we were exhausted. NO ONE WAS at the office to check us in!!! We waited 15 minutes and FINALLY a lady showed up with a horrible attitude. She never apologized and said she was in the bathroom and should be allowed a break. Then she said I had an attitude and refused to speak to me and would only direct her conversation to my son. She had one room left and it was a smoking room (which we did NOT reserve). We left. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! Horrible!!!!

1st room smelled like smoke. Front desk person (polite and friendly) told us cleaner smokes. She escorted us to next room which smelled, but at least not like smoke. Within 5 minutes a large roach scurried across floor. We killed it and stayed in 2nd room

Cleanliness could have been better, still had hair in the tub

We did not even go into the motel, the exterior was in an unkempt condition. The property did not live up to the online photos

On a loud street, air conditioning units very loud. Room not well maintained. Have stayed in much nicer places for the price

Location that’s it. Booked two rooms. One didn’t have a phone and the tv wasn’t working. We had to move out the other one because there was a weird noise coming from I don’t know where. The new room was by the street so we heard cars all night. We heard guests all night walking up and down thew stairs and partying all night. The sheets were half dirty. The blow dryer didn’t work. And both rooms smelled bad.

Rooms were very nasty, stains on bed, tub was very filthy and mold is all around baseboards.
