Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Coon Rapids, MN

Not outdated. Room floor was dirty. Staff was good with the exception of one who would follow the kids around and complain about there wet feet walking through the halls and picking up cups and garbage even while they were still next to them.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Hotel is a little run down. There are a lot of people staying there for long periods of time. One person looked homeless.

The whole place was full of different smells-each time you turned down another hall or entered your room you’d smell something different. The shower had no hot water on the second day. My friend’s room had no electricity when they woke up and another room had one of the two main floor windows broken. Gun shots were heard from the parking lot-cop sirens right after so pretty sure that’s what it was and not fireworks. Other than that the front desk staff was friendly at check in.

Breakfast was great. It allowed me to fill a bit up, so I did not have to go elsewhere. The only minor thing I ran into was having to put my pancakes in the small bowl instead of a plate. Also, just a reminder to steam the iron away a few times and wipe the iron before ironing your clothes.

Older hotel but priced right for what you get. Food/Bar within walking distance. Some of the furnishings seemed new (bed, desk) and other items seemed old and worn. Looks like they're working hard to keep it clean and worth the price but keep expectations at about a C. Bfast was better than some nicer properties.

The rooms were nice size, and for some reason I like the fact that the floors were not carpeted. We need thows on the bed. Pool was used by me and my family, that was a pluss, I would say 2 degrees cooler, but it was like a giant hot tub. Some of us thought it was great. They need better towel. There has to be a way to make people purchase the towels they take. Get the Turkish styles and make them register the towel. I did not care for the lotion, but loved loved the pillows.

Good place to stay. Nice convenient location for me. The place could use an upgrade. The bath water was warm, but the shower was cold. Some of the light switches didn't work. One of the TV's had a replacement in front of the other one, which ate up space on the desk. The elevator clomps along like a hand operated railroad car. Nice people, mostly.
