Remote control for tv did not work Room was set at 60 so it was cold

I wasn't allowed to check in upon arrival, as there was a computer glitch. I waited for over an hour, and even asked if I could just be let into my room (already paid for) and complete the checkin process later. The desk clerk explained that this wasn't allowed. I'm thinking that, given the process already not working, an exception wouldn't have hurt a thing. I eventually left and stayed elsewhere (at no small expense to me). I had no idea how long I might've had to wait. I've NEVER had an experience like this. David, the desk clerk, was very professional and courteous. But I paid for a room and never got it. Also, David explained that if/when I ever did get to check in, the lock on my room was broken and he'd need to let me in each time I left the room. I never got to the room, so this was a moot point.

Old dirty, no shower vent so huge gross hole in the ceiling. Back door unlocked all times. Garbage in stairwell. cold coffee. We left a night early.

I will start with the good… great location off the highway, near restaurants and U of Iowa. Unfortunately that was only good. Was met with unfriendly front staff at check in (housecleaning staff was friendly and accomodating). Had to walk around large black garbage bags in lobby and on our floor. Our first room had a fire alarm that was hanging by a wire from ceiling, tv did not work, carpet dirty and bathroom ceiling was peeling over shower. We requested a new room which was much better thankfully. At check out front staff didn’t look up from computer just said throw keys on the counter and went about their tasks. Will not be staying at this location again.

I was injured on a metal piece of the bed sticking out in my room and the hotel staff did NOTHING when I notified them. No follow-up or any type of compensation. They didn’t even go to the room to look at what caused the injury. The manager had me fill out a report that she was supposed to do herself. The breakfast was not great. Took forever for them to refill coffee and breakfast items. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never stay there again.

Location Room not clean . The peep hole in the room had a paper towel shoved in it . Walls in bathroom had water damage to them and mold . Hair was in my shower when i arrived

I have filed for refund through management and booking.com which neither of you have answered. 63525552737 conf # 8259 pin The room /s had mold and or were musty smelling. I have been fighting cancer and to breathe air that has these properties is a huge No or bleach air, for that matter. It’s one of the key things cancer patients must avoid David the night manger. Not the person who checked us in, acknowledged the problem and did show us another room which was similar. Therefore we could not stay. The mold dealt a lot with prior to arrival

The room was not cleaned every 3 days, but the people were helpful
