Homewood Suites by Hilton Coralville - Iowa River Landing

Great location , nice staff , good breakfast

The environment, staff, and service was excellent.

Our room was wonderful. Very spacious and comfortable, and the in-room kitchen was great. Breakfast buffet was very good too, so many choices.

For 3days they used paper plates and cheap plastic utensils. Difficult to cut waffles

The hotel is in an area with alot of shops so it doesn't really stand alone and have the normal parking lot on the site so you have to park about 1/2 of a block to a block away. Had the 1 bedroom suite and the living room area AC wasn't working. Needed a wheelchair the morning of check out and the staff said that we would have to come down from the 5th floor to get it which didn't help as I couldn't walk but they would not bring it up to the room. I also asked if someone could get my car from the lot so I wouldn't have to walk the block to get it (this hotel offers valet mind you) but the said that they couldn't do that. I am a Hilton Honors member and it was a very disappointing stay. We will have to start traveling to Iowa City regularly for cancer treatments and I can guarantee you that we will not be staying here again.

The hot tub was not working. Extremely disappointing. The hotel itself was great, but I also specifically selected this hotel for its hot tub only to find it it was broken.

Very clean property.

Our suite itself was nice and big and in appropriate repair. However, on Friday the 3rd the elevators quit working. I have a bad knee and hip which made using the stairs painful and very inconvenient. There was no clean laundry available on Saturday the 4th because they had no laundry staff. The pool area was so strong with chlorine fumes you could hardly stand to be in there. Sunday morning one of the 2 elevators was not working again, and the pool area is was shut down/out of order. Sunday morning I called guest services for clean towels and it took over 45 minutes for them to bring the towels. For a $300 a night hotel room, I was not impressed and will not stay there again.

Place was very nice and and very clean. Room was bigger and nicer than expected. Our only complaint was the hot tub... Pool and area was clean, but hot tube was cold!! We didn't bother nobody about it though as we arrived late and were just staying the night. But otherwise we stay again!

The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! Property was well maintained and in great condition

The check in staff communicated nothing, I had to ask where to park, she didn’t say when breakfast was or inform us that the hot tub was down. Would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs on the breakfast buffet
