The staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable!

Clean room. There was a nice evening meal of pulled pork sandwiches, salad, chips, cookies and lemonade. It was so nice to not have to go out after a day of travel and work! Breakfast was good too. Eggs, sausages, waffles, bagels, fruits a d yogurt. The lady working the breakfast was constantly on the move, keeping the food fresh, tables cleaned and people running through smoothly!

The girl was the most unfriendly hospitality worker I’ve encountered. 0 welcome. 0 communication. Checked in and discovered our door was broken and dead bolt wouldn’t latch. Back to the desk. Unfriendly worker inconvenienced by this. We left to eat and came back to see if issue resolved. Again-she is inconvenienced. Hard to find positives when this person kills the vibe.

The person at reception was not particularly welcoming and seemed slow (confused?) about our reservation, although everything was in order. Our room was clean, but the air conditioning would not maintain the temperature we had set. Breakfast was fairly good. We're returning to the hotel in the coming week, and we'll see if the shortcomings were just a fluke.

The mattress was pretty firm with comfortable sheets. The room was clean, however it is an older property, so don’t expect perfection. My husband and I were reminiscing about how the decor and the room made us remember going on road trips as children. My husband had breakfast and dinner there everyday and it was hearty and filling and also well prepared. We’d definitely stay again! Clean property, excellent customer service, and great amenities for a fair price!

Nothing fancy, but property was well maintained. Less than ten minutes to University of Iowa Medical Center.

Location to Iowa campus was really convenient. Clean rooms and decent breakfast. All we needed for an overnight stay.

This hotel was in a good location and suited us for the one night of sleep on our visit to the University of Iowa. It seemed like it could use a refresh, as the carpet was worn down and rooms were dated. The air conditioning was loud but worked on the hot day. The staff was friendly and the room was clean but due to air conditioning being windows units, not central air, the hallways were stuffy and the room was hot until the air got going. I would not stay here again but it fit our needs on this short trip.

Best value hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Price was great and the room was super clean. Surprised at the exceptional quality for how budget friendly it was.

Clean place, breakfast available- classic food

It was a pleasant surprise to have a spacious corner room with a recliner chair. The room has a big jacuzzi tub but we didn’t use it. We got in just in time for a light dinner which saved us time from going out to eat. Very nice and clean, bed was comfortable, a great value!

Clean, friendly, safe, convenient property.

The room was very musty. It had a hot tub in it, but my husband and I think the source of the mustiness was the leaky window a/c unit, because the carpet by it was wet. Overall, it was relatively clean but kind of run down. Breakfast was pretty good. We only stayed one night on our way through town, so we didn't use the pool.

Nothing special but a place for a quick overnight. Breakfast did the trick.

It was great

The staff was kind and breakfast was good. The halls were dirty. There was water on the floor by the ice maker and something blue on the carpet outside our room. One of the beds had a large chunk of hair and a dead spider on it. The shower was very small and had no where to place your soap or shampoo. I don't think we will stay here again.

Lowest priced hotel of all those with 8.0 or above ratings. This is definitely budget friendly. And on weeknights they even provide a free dinner. Families can really save quite a bit.

They serve a light supper and a very nice breakfast. Our room was clean and quiet. We would stay here again.
