SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Coralville Iowa City

Body wash was empty. Problems with the WiFi, but would stay again.

Our bathtub and shower were extremely dirty. Window in room had been Gerry rigged but still would not be able to close and lock it. Very disappointing and made the shower unusable. Do not recommend it.

Served its purpose for move in weekend at the University of Iowa.

We booked two nights at the this hotel and left after one because it was so filthy. The bathroom was disgusting and the toilet seat lid fell off in the morning. The carpet and the hallways were dirty. Outside seating area by the pool was disgusting. The vending machine was completely empty. We learned our lesson in trying to save money but being unable to sleep because of how creeped out we were did not give us any reason to stay one more night. The property is run down and filthy. It should be called the “Sure would not Stay”.

The room was satisfactory. It smelled the bed wasn’t made completely the breakfast very good and I would not stay there again.

Overall it was ok. Small things were missing. No cups next to the sink. Only 3 towels(4 guests). Shampoo container was empty(front desk assisted within 5 minutes). These things you notice when you need them, so it would have been nice if they were restocked prior to arrival.

The staff and the exterior of the hotel was ok that is why I gave 2 stats. Everything else was nasty. Excessive amounts of mold in the bathroom, the dirty carpet and the smell of weed and cigarettes.

When we arrived to our we were shocked at how bad it was for a Best Western. The room had a lot of damage. The board holding up the Refrigerator was all tore up, the bathroom was stained and the wall next to the tub was coming apart and drywall dust on the floor. The shower had mildew around the handicap bars in tub. The caulk around the tub was mildew stained with holes in it. There was no coffee pot in the room and only 2 plastic cups. The beds were worn out. The hallway had food crumbs in many places. Don’t recommend this hotel.

The first room i was put in was not cleaned.

Terribly maintained hotel. Filthy. Evident that no one cares about the property. Stayed here for parents weekend, along with many other out-of-state families, lost opportunity for a highly visible location.

The room was comfortable but not cleaned well. A lot of trash under the beds. A nice hotel but needs to clean better. An easy fix!

The room was dirty. Bathtub terrible, stains on sheets. Elevator dirty as well. Staff nice and accommodating.

The staff were pleasant The rooms were filthy. Hair was found in one of the tubs. Plumbing equipment was on the floor of the bathroom. One sheet of sheets had dried blood on them. Didn't notice it till the morning. The carpet in one of the rooms was dirty, it needed to be vacuumed. The mattresses and pillows were of poor quality.

Staff was very kind and polite, shower was warm and great water pressure, and our sheets were clean. Beyond that, it was bad. The bathroom had mold all around the walls by the ceiling. The floor had not been swept or vacuumed, which was evidenced by fingernail clippings around the room. There was no soap. None. When we asked for the room to be wiped down and for some soap, the clerk was very nice. We were assured they would take care of everything by the time we got back. They did not. We had to get our own hand soap. When we checked out, the desk lady could not have cared less about our disappointment.

When we arrived and got our room first thing we noticed was an odd smell. Checked the beds and one of the beds had visibly dirty sheets and the bathroom had dirty stains in the bottom of the tub and small rusty rings around grabbers etc. We asked for a new room and they moved us this new room the sheets looked clean but the bathroom was the same we stoped at a HomeGoods to get a mesh mat to put in the tub so we were not standing on the dirty looking tub. We will not be back if you need a reasonably priced hotel in the area try Heartland inn it’s not as pretty on the surface but it’s CLEAN

Very poorly kept. Sheets did not appear clean. Plaster was falling from bathroom walls. A/C did nothing for the humidity.

Very good stay

Breakfast sucked. Nothing was ever filled up. I wanted oatmeal they were out of it. But very nice clean placed to stay
