Crown City Inn

This is the best place to stay in Coronado if you like to walk. You can visit either end of the island from here and the restaurants at both ends. Excellent staff and service.

Very well maintained property. Linda at the front desk was very helpful and friendly upon checkin. Rooms were a little smaller than normal but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the bistro was excellent! Would love to stay here again!

We really liked how central the hotel was on the island and loved having the bikes to use too. We did not have a car so the ease of transport was super nice when not wanting to walk. The cleaning staff were also super sweet and left our room sparkling. Maricia was very patient when we needed to run in and out of the room and gave us lovely advise for our last day in Coronado. Not much! We didn’t get to try the bistro :(

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Coronado.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary on Coronado this year and we had a wonderful 2-nights and 3-days exploring the area. Crown City Inn is a great bang-for-the-buck: centrally located with clean rooms, friendly employees, a comfortable bed, desk chairs, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker, free-loaner bikes, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys, a small pool and bistro onsite and a Vons market and Spreckles Park in quick walking or riding distance. We road bikes to the ferry landing, marina, Hotel Del, eateries, beaches and parks. There were a lot of parking spaces on the street and behind the hotel when we visited. We couldn’t find a quiet setting on the air conditioner, so we slept with the windows open and a fan on. You might have a hard time finding a quiet air conditioner at this inn. Room 111 had a loud air conditioner, so we opted for open windows at night. Enjoy our stay. Thanks again! 😊

The staff was amazing and helpful from check in to check out. My teens loved the free bikes and used them to travel the island. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and getting to the ferry to go downtown or go to the restaurants near the beach were easy walks. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful place. Room was nice. Breakfast was terrific

The one complaint I have was the location of the swamp cooler air conditioner which was located in alcove by bathroom and dressing area. I ended up turning it off and using the portable fan so I didn’t have the cold air blasting on me. It would have been nice to open the window for fresh air but the room was located in covered area so didn’t get much breeze or natural light.

Clean rooms, staff was always so helpful, there is a little breakfast restaurant in the front, and the parking is limited but doable.
