Raj was amazing at taking care of me. And the rest of the staff was very helpful. There’s a lot to see and do around there.

The property has a charming appeal and the staff is world-class, but the property is in need of some maintenance and upgrades. We stayed in the Penthouse. View was phenomenal, but the fixtures in the suite needs to be replaced. Terrace provided great views, but also needs to be repaired and refreshed.

Beware if you book this hotel through Expedia, you'll get the lesser quality rooms and not the rooms that are shown on the website. You need to ask for the rooms in the "mansion" part of the hotel otherwise you'll get a room like the one we stayed. Parking is also an issue. The spots are super tiny and I don't believe they had enough spots for the quests. They were kind and refunded our resort fee, which not really sure what justified having a resort fee, and also refunded one night of our stay, (we were booked for 3 nights). They were apologetic and said they have been trying to get this part of the hotel updated since Covid but it's been slow going. I don't believe that is any excuse for having dirty rooms and insects.

Conveniently located on the beautiful Coronado Island, Glorietta is a charming hotel with the necessary amenities and AMAZING staff. Property does have some old features. Bathrooms could use some upgrades.

Exceptional

The inside was ok, kind of older. The bathroom was the worst. Drain cover in the bathtub was broken. When I tried to put it back in, there was hair in the drain. There was hair and debris on the shower walls and ledges. The sink looked as it had not previously wiped/cleaned out. When trying to hang my towel the rack keep falling on the ground. When I turned on the light in bathroom, the wall switch was visibly dirty with dirty finger prints present. My daughter’s bed had hair in it.

Not as nice as the photos make it seem. Small outdated rooms.

Love staying here. Great location, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Love that we can check out all the beach equipment for the kids.
-
Staff was great. Breakfast and wifi included, the breakfast was really good. The hotel is right across street from beach and they had umbrella and chairs we could use.
-
Close to the beach and all shopping and dining.
-
Wonderful place, staff, location and breakfast.

Breakfast was good. Location excellent. Rooms can be updated but the room was clean. I had to pay for early check in. If a room is available early then why do you charge?

Our stay was very enjoyable and nice. However I believe that the shampoo was filled with body wash. The sliding door was very hard to use and do not lock at all. My understanding was we would be in a newly remodeled room which was not the case.
-
Room is very conveniently located across from the Hotel Del and beach access and less than 1/4 mile from the downtown restaurant. Breakfast is lovely and creates a Bed & Breakfast vibe. The staff could not be kinder or more helpful and welcoming. We loved our time here!!
-
I love the history of Glorietta and the pictures with explanations all over the place! The breakfast was great. Next time we stay I would like the option of choosing a room with a view! Great location close to everything

We still like coming here to the Glorietta, but the hotel is showing its age and needs some updates.

The water pressure in the room was very poor. There was also a persistent, very loud screeching plumbing noise that would happen while using the bathroom, after using it, when flushing, and sometimes even when the bathroom wasn’t being used at all. It was disruptive and made the stay less comfortable. The room also could have been cleaner. The outside of the refrigerator was visibly dirty, and we noticed some ants in the room despite not having any food out. These details made the room feel like it needed more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, I would say the location and staff were the highlights, but the actual room was about a 3/10 for me. I expected more but unfortunately wouldn’t consider the room itself a standout.

Breakfast was very good. Room was a bit musty.

Loved our stay, we brought our baby girl and thankfully booked the mansion room and it was amazing. Spacious and everything we needed. We will be back
