Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton

We travel a lot and this was one of my favorite and most memorable stays yet! We stayed in one of the Victorian rooms and it was so beautiful and cozy. The whole resort is lovely and the beach sands are golden and glittery.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and wonderful amenities.

Arrival- nobody to get luggage out of car. No service to get into your room (unless you want to wait 2-3 hours he said) Check in- 2 people to check in - 25 minute wait the staff were weird like they joined a week before- didn’t even give us proper directions in this massive property to our room. Room- cute Bathroom- frayed towels!!! Room service - basically non- existent Called for water- 45 mins nobody came then called again - another 25 mins. No extra water in fridge or mini bar- don’t be in the hospitality business if you cannot provide water - AND THIS IS FOR ALL HOTELS - l

The Hilton app displays a message on the digital keying item icon to contact the front desk when your room is not ready. At least that’s what the front desk told me. That doesn’t make any sense. I asked him why it just didn’t display. This room was not ready, but they told me they have no control over the app. Obviously that’s the wrong answer. The cabana pool was nice. It was a family pool so inevitably there were children screaming and crying. Would be nice if there was an adults only pool. Service was very good at the pool. And of course, the hotel location is beautiful. I also very much enjoyed using the Hilton app for access to the hotel and my room. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, but did not appreciate the delayed check-in.

Beautiful cabana remodeled rooms …sun deck dinner at sunset was wonderful, yummy gelato, Enzo pizza and street taco on the beach was awesome

What an excellent weekend stay! There is no need to leave this gorgeous property. The rooms, dining and nightly entertainment was amazing. Dinner at Serea was incredible. Music by Matt Heinecke while enjoying adult beverages at Babcock & Story was the best way to end the perfect day....

Room was amazing. Only issue was that there was no microwave to heat up leftovers. To have one you must request at the front desk.

Wonderful resort full of thoughtful amenities in a beautiful setting.

Service in general at the hotel was very slow and unattentive, including at the restaurant and at check-in and check-out. Signage was poor, so it was hard to find any amenities or restaurants or even the breakfast. The Victorian King room seemed overpriecd and had only windows in the sitting area, looking over the passenger loading area (without any view of the ocean), and had no windows in the bedroom area or bathroom. It also had a bad step between the sitting area and the bedroom area which made me trip. We then put "warning pillows" there as the carpeting made the step blend in. The posted firepit event was not available to us when we showed up as we were told at the firepit that we hadn't made a reservation, which we didn't realize we had to make as hotelguests, as no one had brought it up at check-in. Parking, unloading, and dealing with the luggage were all extremely complicated and time-consuming. I don't think we will be back.

NO MENTION OF THIS FROM THE HOTE (EITHER IN ADVANCE NOR AT THE CHECK IN), DESPITE THIS APPARENTLY BEING A FREQUENT PROBLEM. NO OFFER TO COMPENSATE FOR THE extraordinarily room rates, either. VISITORS: BEWARE!!!! PAYING NEARLY $1,000 PER ROOM PER NIGHT WITHOUT THE AVAILABILITY OF THE BEACH!!

Hotel and staff was great.. I did not like that they did not disclose the fact that the water Beachside was closed due to sewage bacteria leaking into the ocean. This was a big part of why we came and was not able to swim in the ocean. I understood completely the reason they would close it down, but it should have been disclosed in their advertising.
