Best Western Crossroads Of The Bluffs

Upon arriving around 4:45pm, they were still actively cleaning the rooms we were assigned(requested adjourning rooms). We waited roughly 30 minutes before we could get into our rooms. Once in the rooms, the floors weren’t swept the best and sheets smelled cleaned, but had some stains and there was a dark, coarse hair on one bed. I called and talked to the front desk and they sent the cleaning ladies up and they promptly got new sheets for the beds. The pool was okay. Breakfast the next morning was fairly good.

Easy access.

The hotel was very clean. The pool area and seating area in the pool area was huge. Our room was very clean. Air worked well have no complaints. Maybe the only downside was the bed could’ve been more comfortable.

Clean Room the housekeeping staff was really helpful and checked in daily. The pool area is extremely hot. All the AC units from downstairs area vent in there. Be warned there is no elevator so not very ADA friendly. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer unfortunately it’s on the 2nd floor all the way in the back of hotel. The ice machine in our area was broken the whole time we were there. If a nights stay it’s ok but long stay maybe reconsider.

Older property. Our toilet didn’t work. Wouldn’t flush, seemed plugged. Tried calling the front desk to report issue and no answer. Mattresses are worn out and uncomfortable, also very squeaky with the slightest movement. Check-in took longer than it should have as I booked it on Hotels.com. I did like the flooring in the room and the AC worked well. Wouldn’t stay here again.

No elevator, so if you have multiple bags and young kids, you’re on your own. They do have trolleys, but you obviously can’t take them upstairs. The room’s floor was dirty and sticky. The front desk won’t answer the phone, so don’t waste your time trying to call. Breakfast was mid, but the coffee was good. Overpriced for what you get.

The suite with the French Doors that separate the kitchen and the living room from the bedroom and bathroom. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The jacuzzi tub tiles were broken in areas, one of the spots on the tub had pink nail polish dried on it. The curtains didn't close and cover the side of the window that people could see the bed and who was sleeping in it. We had to place the ironing board leaning on the wall to get the curtains to block the window on the left side where the bed was.

Older property that tried really...

The location was good. There is no elevator! Our room was filthy: entire floor was sticky, the shower had not been cleaned (hair that was not ours in shower and on floor), tile floor in bathroom was really dirty. Shampoo/conditioner/ hand lotion samples on the counter were not new and had been used by previous guest because they were. open. Property is really old and dated. We had a 3 inch hole in a wall. To top it off it was horribly expensive $265.

Room was hit and miss with housekeeping. We found items on the floor and in the crevice of the chair which indicates things not moved or checked. Bedding seemed clean. Bathroom had no fan so a shower steamed up mirror immediately and room never dried up. Toilet seat was loose and was not the correct size. Shear curtain was shredded from the heat and crumbled when touched and a/c was very loud and never cooled adequately. Refrigerator was cold but needed shutoff and defrosted because frost took up entire freezer I booked because we were there for a sports event and our group was in approximately 15 rooms and being together was important but this was in no way worth the $750+ for three nights per room. I remember when a BEST WESTERN was a top rated hotel. Very disappointed in this property.

I’m a stickler when it comes to rating hotels. I worked in a corporate setting for the hospitality industry for 30 years. My expectations are high. Your front desk staff and breakfast attendants were great. The bedding - perfect! Public area was really nice. Constructive criticism…. Exterior gardens need attention (remember this is your guest’s 1st impression), 2 of our gstrm doors did not automatically close (not ok), broom the dust away from the edges of the corridors so the vacuums can get to it, get an ice machine on 2nd floor.
