Gorgeous stay! rooms and bed are huge! garden is just gorgeous, hosts are so so lovely and helpful and breakfast was amazing (chefs cook you eggs, omelete etc). very happy with our stay. we booked the garden room and could hardly hear the street at all (which was great as a lot of accomodation in cusco we found to be very impacted by road noise)

Very friendly staff , great breakfast and perfect location.

It has a lovely garden and the rooms have newly renovated bathrooms. The breakfast chef is also very lovely. Before our arrival getting in touch with the property was impossible. I had emailed, messaged thru booking and whatsapped and only heard back 2 days before our arrival. Carrying your bags up and down from the second floor rooms was tough.

It has character. All the chain hotels look the same, very sterile and antiseptic. This hotel has a personality that I really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and a special thanks to the restaurant staff who, despite my terrible Spanish, were able to make sense of my special requests and provided me with excellent meals. A little more room at the curb outside would be nice, but this cannot be helped. Inside was lovely.

Location was close to all. Vibe is perfect for Cusco. So cozy. Small and authentic. Incan walls. Beds are cozy. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was helpful. Rooms are small and double beds only, not queens.

When I went to shower before bed THERE WAS NO HOT WATER. It was lukewarm at best. After a long day of travel and exploring the only thing I wanted was a hot shower and to tuck into bed. I called down to the front desk, but the lady from the daytime wasn't there, only a man who didn't speak any english. I was able to communicate the issue in my limited spanish and he came up to the room to take a look. It was hard to understand what he was telling me to do, but I guess he reset the heater and told me to wait 15mins then try again. I did that, at which point the water was hotter but not hot. I was able to shower quickly, but it wasn't pleasant. And I was tired from waiting. This is why I took points off. Hot water is a necessity. Especially when it's cold out. Also, something I ate at breakfast didn't agree with me. I used the filtered water to brush my teeth and hadn't eaten anything else that day when the problems started. I don't know if they use filtered or regular water in the coffee or juices they serve? I had both. Or maybe they don't wash their fruits/vegetables with filtered water and that's what did it. But just to watch out for.

Nothing. This is a fantastic deal, wonderful hotel.

Everything…the staff, the room, breakfast…everything was perfect. One very small suggestion…vary the fruit at breakfast, some mango and banana would be great. Nothing.

Breakfast was amazing, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is cute, with rustic vibes, but clean and comfortable. There is a garden in the patio, in front of the rooms and the restaurant that is just perfect. The view from the porch to the garden is also amazing. You can see the top of the buildings from Plaza de Armas from there. Location is also convenient, two blocks away from the town.

The property was charming and convenient. The room was clean. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and was delicious.

This is a beautiful hotel not far from the Plaza de Armas. The gardens and view of the city from the second floor are very special and the breakfast is excellent. Have stayed here on three separate trips and have had an excellent experience every time.

We had a great stay at El Balcon! Quiet location off the main plaza, and the staff is very attentive.

Great staff and breakfast
-
Beautiful, historic The beds are very short for taller people. Very loud at night if your room is next to the street or the neighboring yard.

The room was spacious and clean. Nice touches with fresh water and fruit in the room.
