Velvet Residence Cusco

Mi experiencia fue muy negativa. La habitación tenía ruido constante, imposible descansar. Al plantear el problema, el recepcionista mostró cero empatía y me dijo que era mi responsabilidad avisar, desligando al hotel de toda responsabilidad. Finalmente anularon mi reserva y me cobraron solo una noche, pero lo hicieron con desgano, aclarando que no era su política y haciéndome sentir incómodo en la despedida. No recomiendo este lugar: falta de profesionalismo y de consideración hacia el huésped.

Modern and good value. Good breakfast. The pictures are not representative of the facilities. Roof terrace was not accessible and there was no kitchen to be found. Check out and breakfast both one hour too early.

The location is safe, quiet, and convenient — close to restaurants, markets, and transportation, with easy access to the Historic Center and the airport. Overall, Velvet Residence offers comfort, cleanliness, fast WiFi, great showers, and exceptional value. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Cusco. No heater in the room.

The price is worth the price and staff are helpful especially Mr. Eliot. He helped me to organize my tour for the Rainbow Mountain and assisted me in my needs while staying there. Many thanks! The wifi in my room was horrible. I was struggling to get connected with my errands.

After a long week hiking to Choquirao, coming back to such a luxurious hotel was a real treat. There was hot water in both the shower and the bathroom sink! The bed was comfy and the room was really warm compared to the other places we had stayed at in Cusco and the Sacred Valley. The neighborhood was perfect for us as we got to visit the local markets and eat at some really good local spots. Some of the people that stay here are really loud at inappropriate times of day.

Tiny, clean, comfortable room. You can hear EVERYTHING! This is not a soundproof room or hotel. You will not sleep if you forget your earplugs.

The hotel may seem a little bit off the center of the city, but in fact it was very easy to reach the center. Next to the entrance there are parking places monitored from the hotel - very nice "feature" if you plan to rent a car Sound isolation between the rooms may be better. But as we were traveling a lot and were tired, for us it did not create much inconveniences :)

The last night of our stay, the hot water wasn't working well. We waited until the morning of check out but it was still not working. The other days it was working fine.

Location is great. The hotel had NO heating! They would not provide portable heaters! We were so cold we had to wear at least 3-4 layers inside and sleep under 3-4 blankets! Very horrible! They refused to provide heaters! The noise at night. Very loud.

Great personel that looked after us and assisted when needed. Very friendly and fun staff. Hot water was a bit of a hit and miss. Also, a mirrow in a bathroom wouldn't be a bad idea.

We used this place just to sleep before our next trip. It was great because they gave us lunch instead of breakfast since we left at 4 a.m. It’s very close to the train station, which made it perfect.
