Cheap I didn't expect staff with a 9.3 rating on Booking.com to snap at me, 'Give me your phone!' with clear irritation, when I simply asked for the Wi-Fi password for the lobby while waiting for check-in, probably thinking I have no fluency in English, and after that, I received a Booking.com message, "Dear customers, To avoid the case of competitors making virtual books. Please confirm your reservation via this message box. In case you do not confirm, the hotel cannot guarantee to keep the room for you," which left me speechless due to their bizarre hospitality. The sewage smell from the toilet is pervasive in the room, even with the exhaust fan running. More to say but I can only say it's cheap.

The hostel is cheap for the facilities provided, almost half price of the next equivalent hostel in similar category. The bed is large and comfortable and seems to be changed after every checkout. The location is really out of the way and is good 2 mile walk to get to the heart of Da Nang. You have to take off your shoes to enter the room. Not even clean slippers are allowed. And you have to enter the toilet and the shower barefoot. This might be ok for some people but I had some hesitation going barefoot in the toilet. That said, the shower and toilets are clean and all maintained. The entire second floor is filled with dorm beds. People are generally quiet and considerate. The floor is cleaned multiple times a day. All in all I felt this hostel was ideal for someone with Vietnamese cultural sensibilities.

I like that in the dormitories, the lockers are within your compartment. It is located at your headboard, making it more convenient It is also good that there is a cafe right at the ground floor where you can get authentic Vietnamese coffee. They do not give towels but I requested anyway, so they gave me a face towel. No free soap and shampoos in the bathrooms , you have to bring it.

The bathroom facilities were also subpar, with cleanliness clearly not being a priority. Additionally, keep in mind that you’ll be staying in a room with over 20 people, which significantly impacts comfort and privacy. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are better options out there.

You definitely need a Grab whenever you want to do anything in the city. Even most restaurants are a bit far away, but there is a supermarket right next door. You also don't get a towel so remember to bring your own.
