Facilities, pool Staff let me down badly. And Oriental on roof, very badly managed. I got food poisoning. Spoiled my whole outing and special plans for my wife that I had to treat her.

The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel cared for throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant design, spotless rooms, and breathtaking views over the harbor. Every detail feels thoughtful, from the spacious, comfortable rooms to the tranquil pool area that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day. The food was another highlight, every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether at breakfast, or at the restaurant in the evening, the service was attentive and the experience was flawless. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Dar es Salaam, close to the waterfront, ferries, and great restaurants, yet peaceful and relaxing once you step inside. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the people. Every staff member we met was kind, proactive, and genuinely passionate about creating an unforgettable experience. -

This is an institution in central Dar, perfect for both families and business. Nothing in particular that I didn’t like.

Gymn equipment range provided was excellent. Breakfast choice and standard was delicious and excellent. Pool side service fantastic thank you Rajab. DJ at night rooftop bar was good music. Regency Club service thank you Mwajuma. Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of storage and the bathrooms has functional rooms works well. Staffs are customer focus, polite and friendly from porter Pius and his team, reception, door staff and Palm restaurant to mention a few, thank to the chef Epiphania, and manager Yakwino and his team, including Renalda, Waziri, Valerie, Yasinta, Boniventure, Juvenary thank you, you have made our 4 days stay memorable and enjoyable. Gymn air condition could be cooler it gets too hot to exercise properly. Room Sea view were affected by one of the windows panel condensation. There was no milk UHT or powder form in the room for tea. Air condition in the room should be kept on, all the time or window kept opened if anti mosquito net panels is installed to remove the slightly musty smell in the room.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and they managed to fulfill all our requests throughout our stay. The facilities were also really good, including the pool, gym and restaurants. Overall, a wonderful stay, and will definitely be going back again. The Sea View rooms also have an amazing view. I would highly recommend it if you are on the fence about upgrading. We were not allowed to take pictures in certain areas of the hotel; this should be clearly stated at check-in, or 'no photos' signs should be put up.
