First of all, it’s centrally located in the city, making it easy to connect with other parts of the country. 3 minutes walks to the Zanzibar ferry, easy access to government and private businesses, nearby stores for a shopping experience in the historic part of Dar es Salaam. Secondly, from my arrival experience to going to my room, the comfort of the bed and the amenities provided, everything is clearly intentionally made for my experience to be unforgettable. It’s really hard to say what I didn’t like. Perhaps the 8th floor restaurant which closes… But what? The hotel obviously has room service.

I had a very pleasant stay at Johari Rotana in Dar es Salaam. The hotel is modern, well maintained, and very well located in the CBD area, making it convenient for business meetings and port-related visits. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good sound insulation and quality bedding — important after long travel days. The sea or city views from higher floors are a nice bonus. Wi-Fi was stable throughout my stay, which is essential for work. Service was consistently professional and attentive without being intrusive. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the staff were helpful with transport arrangements. Breakfast offers a solid international selection with fresh options, and the restaurants provide reliable quality for both business dinners and casual meals. The gym and pool area are also well kept and suitable for maintaining a routine while traveling.

The property was exceptionally clean and exactly as described in the photos. Its convenient location made it easy to access all the places I wanted to visit. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food offered at the hotel’s restaurants it was so good that we rarely felt the need to dine elsewhere. We would gladly stay here again in the future. The first room we were allocated was quite hot, as the AC was not working properly. However, the staff made genuine efforts to resolve the issue, and when it could not be fixed, they kindly arranged a room upgrade. We were very pleased with the upgraded room it was much cooler, more comfortable, and overall a significant improvement.

Great welcoming, stuff very helpful and smooth check in. Rooms very nice, clean, spa and gym at a high level of quality. Really good Hotel overall. Location is perfect, view stunning. Check out over 20min is not ok, asked an email of the invoice did not happened. Restaurants are loosing quality and overall offers.

Very welcoming staff. Very clean hotel and all the equipments are new and clean. The rooms are very spacious. Would never go to any other place than johari when i visit dar es salam Nothing. Everything is perfect in the hotel. Just a tip if you want to go out or take a taxi just ask some of the gate security guys they will give you tips to avoid getting scammed by locals.
