Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast offerings. Nice pool and hot tub. Bathtub could benefit from updated plug.

I flew up to Davis specifically to take my granddaughter swimming for the first time. I came in around 7 pm on a sat evening. I had one king size bed. The divots in the bed were so deep they were on springs. I was up ALL night and I was unable to sleep at all. The hotel was full, and there was no other accommodation. The pool was so dirty and the Jacuzzi was unusable more than half empty slime on the sides and the city would’ve closed it down. The staff was unable to clean it. They have no one that cleans it on the weekends. There were utensils in the pool from the party they had the day before. Wet towels all over the ground, full trash cans, and no clean towels. The two gentlemen that worked the front desk in the evenings were very kind, but their hands were tied the lady that worked the dayshift was marginal at best. . I have pictures of all of this and I would post them if it would allow me to do so. Obviously I had to find somewhere else to swim. And they did sprint room for the second night which was about 75 percent better.

Nice quiet hotel, at reasonable prices. Easy to get to, and tucked just outside of the main downtown area, but still super close to the action. Staff was helpful and friendly, hotel was clean, and amenities were nice.

The stay was ok, but not comparable to other La Quinta Inn's we have stayed at. It was very warm and stuffy in the hallways and lobby. The floor in the breakfast area was ridiculously sticky. This was first thing in the morning, indicating it wasn't cleaned from the prior day. When a very noticeable and public spot isn't clean it makes you wonder how dirty the areas are that aren't readily accessible to the guests.

Wall air conditioning blows cold air right at the bed. WiFI is completely insecure making it useless for playing certain games. No USB ports at the room desk.

I liked everything about the hotel. I just wish the rooms had soap to wash my hands.

Location was great for us since everything was close by for our outings to see the bats n raptors, being centralized meant we didn’t have to travel on the freeway but used local streets only. The only problems were there wasnt anyone at the counter most times. Room were clean, thank goodness for the air conditioner since it was in 100s. Downtown Davis is very cute with lots of eateries n the houses looked reasonably priced. Found a dim sum place right behind the hotel. Overall the la Quinta chain is good.

Room was clean. Staff were nice, but had to wait more than 5 minutes for staff to come to the front desk on 2 occasions. The breakfast was serviceable. Parking was readily available.

Staff are great, friendly, and helpful. We initially had an issue with our room but after speaking with staff, they were gracious and gave us a different room. Location is good. Pool can be cleaner and breakfast can be better. Overall, good experience.

Rooms were clean, staff was a roll of the dice: two were super friendly and helpful, but one staffer was on a personal call and couldn’t be bothered to help us.

Kind staff and nice breakfast in the morning. Pool was clean and easily accessible. Only complaints were strange guests and big families that took over the pool area some of the time.

Our king bed was a bit uncomfortable, the shower did not drain properly and though we did not use the jacuzzi, it did not look clean.

Really helpful staff, the beds and pillows were so comfortable!
