Best Western Aku Tiki Inn

The place and staff were great. The information at the time of reservation was not correct. It was NOT free parking or breakfast. That was a big factor for our reservation but did not find out the error until we checked in.

First thing when we turn the lights on, we see a roach. We switch rooms, then the place has no soap or shampoo. The doors don't close right. There are dehumidifier in the rooms that you have to empty twice a day. No towels at the pool. The poolside restrooms are disgusting. No toilet paper or paper towels. The floors are filthy, the paper towel and toilet paper dispensers are empty and falling off of the walls. The restaurant has a very small menus, and they didn't have half of the items listed. We have stayed here several times years ago, but it is sad to see what this once beautiful place has turned into.

The renovator rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shower was outstanding.

Rooms were clean and well equipped for your stay. Advertised free breakfast but it wasn't, you ordered from the restaurant in the hotel. Food was good though and not very expensive, received good portions. Very good beach views from most all rooms. Overall it was a nice stay.

Horrible manager, horrible cleaning conditions and they take your money with LIES. When we arrived there were marijuana cigarettes and empty alcohol bottles in the balcony we did not even touch or anything because we went with babies. They said they charged us a fee for smoking and the alcohol when that is not true they also said they charged a fee for cleaning the rooms when the ROOMS were all dirty and they did not even clean them once.

I liked that it was on the beach, clean rooms, clean property We had to pay $8 a night for parking which was wild to me because it’s a best western. Then, the restaurant sucked. We tried to eat there twice no greeting or servers ever tried to take our order. Sat 20 minutes each time and there is ZERO air conditioning . Then there was a naked drunk man in the pool last night. For an hour. He was never removed. One of the elevators didn’t work, the toilet seat was broken in our room also.

We were then placed into a different room after reporting the issues which was okay but house keeping never came to clean the room or anything. the hotel looks very nice online but nothing like that in person. the AC was loud & made weird sounds & there was a humidifier that we had to empty ourselves which was a first for me in a hotel. All in all the hotel was in a decent location but i would not stay there again or recommend anyone else to stay there.

Restaurant was closed and the whole hotel smells like continuous fabuloso everywhere!

Definitely worth the price! The hotel is right on the beach, with everything conveniently accessible. The pool was great, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great trip for a few days but I killed a cockroach in my room… also the fridge wasn’t working so I had to get maintenance over. Also their hours for their restaurant was very inconsistent

Kitchenette were useful for our familly. Only downside is the housekeeping: we usually skip a few days for environement reasons and the only 2 days the cleaning lady came, the toilet paper , coffee, cups were not refilled. Stayed for 12 days

Overall, the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel and the rooms were very clean,smelled great.Bed decent. The check in staff was friendly and helpfull with the exception of the morning receptionist. Veronica until the last day of our stay I feel she completely accepted my intelligence,reason being we were switched from our room 3 times he checked in at 4:00pm Wasn't able to shower or rest until 8:30 pm room 1 had a bullet hole in the sliding glass door and the window was completely cracked if you opened or closed 1t with too much force it could have broken and shattered on anyone and cut them really badly. Could have been a lawsuit. room2 had no hot water. We let it run for 20minutes. Mgmt conf It was not getting hot . I don't know how they clean without hot water and why none of this was communicated through housekeeping to the front desk so that those rooms could be closed off.Room3 was fine when I addressed the issue about the bullet hole which was clearly a bullet hole. The morning receptionist Veronica tried to defend it saying a pelican ran into the window. Pelicans don't fly that low. We were on the second floor it clearly had the burn marks we hunt so we know a bullet hole when we see one.mgmt made up for it by giving us an extra night they couldn't refund my money due to me booking through a third party app. Wasn't the anniversary weekend we had in mind But we originally made the best of it I don't know. We'll return there

I couldn't have encountered a friendlier staff! Our room was clean, the view was fantastic, the area has the prettiest part of Daytona Beach without all the fuss of the pier. Although, if you'd like to visit the pier, it is a very short drive there. Loved our stay, and they made sure to accommodate our room requests. Will definitely look into staying here for another trip to the beach!

Towels were available for the pool—but the pool was cloudy and a thick dirty ring along the entire inside tile. Beach access was easy and looks to be some construction in the deck area for grills..?? The property is FANTASTIC ✨and with a little more TLC and a functional restaurant with FRESH FOOD, you’ll have FIVE STARS in no time. Plenty of parking and ADA spots—but not really made for full size trucks. We had a beach view room, balcony, and clean updated room. The fridge was new but didn’t get cold so we had to keep our few perishables in a cooler. Overall, it was a win and we will be back very soon!

Great place on the ocean !!! Beautiful views from our deck !! And the restaurant on site had a great breakfast!!! Highly recommend!! Hope to be back here again !! It’s a keeper all around !!
