Atheneum Suite Hotel

An excellent two nights stay! This hotel offered a comfortable room and very friendly staff. The front desk team was extremely polite and quick to assist. The bed was very soft and room very clean with an upscale design. Expensive but worth it.

Enjoyed our stay, good location.

The bar area in the hotel can get pretty loud so if you are looking for something quiet and peaceful I would use caution booking during the weekends especially when their are concerts or games. Otherwise ai highly recommend

Room was super clean. The staff were friendly.

Arrived from out of state, my room was ready early which allowed me to check in and have plenty of time to get ready for my event. The staff was wonderful, and the free shuttle was a deciding factor when booking. The valet took great care of my car. The rooms are huge! It was clean and well maintained, if I ever travel back to the area this will most certainly be the place I'm staying.

Also, Darnell is one of the most helpful and courteous hospitality employees I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet (and I’m from Las Vegas). Anything negative, real or imagined, from any guests can be fixed with one conversation with the man. Now that he’s retiring, the Atheneum will need to fill some rather large shoes. Very impressive man.

were paying $40 per night. The first day we asked for our car. When the valet drove up the rear tire was completely flat. First we didn't like that the valet drive on it. We immediately said something and the young man acted surprised??? There's no way it could have been a surprise. Bottom line they told us to try a garage about 3 miles away. We refused to drive on that tire so they attempted to have a supervisor put some air in it. Took approximately 45 minutes til they brought it back but they said it wasn't holding air so we were forced to drive to garage 3 miles away and have it fixed. We had to pay for repair even though it was in the possession of the valet. Ridiculous. Extremely unhappy. Would never go back to this hotel.

Nice hotel with spacious suites. Very near to the Greektown Monroe District and a short walk to the baseball and football stadiums.

Love this location. The rooms are spacious. The property could use some refreshing though. I’m sure we will continue to stay here, but I hope they do some updates and clean the rooms a little better.

We had an excellent stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. “Captain” ensured we got to where we needed to be with the complimentary shuttle and was fun and friendly to chat with! We will definitely be back.

Property slightly dingy though was minor stuff, staff did comp me parking for dirty fridge and bathroom wall. I took pics to show them.

We love staying here. Location is across the street from the casino. Staff, walk to Comerica Park, Fishbones with live entertainment. Everything you need! And most importantly comfortable beds and pillows.

Very cool hotel in the perfect location. The entire staff was so friendly and hospitable. The room was amazing! Can’t wait to visit again!

Property was nice and very unique. The elevators were slow. We took the stairs but only could get to second floor without finding the staff stairs that led outside to emergency exit. Rooms could use a microwave to go with mini fridge.
