G & L Hotel

It was simple, clean and fairly quiet. There was no staff on duty.

Nice comfy apartement. Quick check in process with a machine once you have the booking.com reservation code. we had a fridge and a kettle, and a small kitchen which was everything we needed! Two seperate bedrooms, dining table. we didnät need a living room as we stayed briefly for one night so did not bother us as long as there was a dining table. Great stopover place! Lots of stairs with no elevator. but not all flats are on the top floor.

Check in via typing yr name in the computer (like many parking garages with yr plate number) after the entrance door.Key drops and off to yr room. Initially smell from a spanish resatuarant below, but not in the room The mentioned restaurant was good with tapas and beer. Parking spaces behind the building (10). Initially the smells from the restaurant

The location is easy to access from the airport and midway to the city center, which is also easy to access from there. There are trains, a U-Bahn line and buses 5-8 minutes walk from the hotel. The automated check-in procedure was easy to use we haven't met a single staff member during our stay. The room was fairly clean and the bathroom was also well equipped. Wifi access was also ok in the room. The Aplerbeck area is a nice historical neighborhood. The shower head's insulation was faulty (missing?), water sprayed everywhere from the hose. The bed matraces were way too soft.

The bathroom may need some modernization

Quick and easy to book...it was at night and spontanious booking. No aircondition....so when its hot you have to open the window and the noise outside specially cars that passes by are loud.

I booked mainly because of the location with a short public bus directly to the airport. The room was clean and nicer than I expected. Self check in was very easy, and overall for the price, I have no complaints. The bed is two twin beds pushed together which was a bit annoying at night. The bed also could have been comfortable. There was no AC, so the room did get quite hot, but it was okay with the windows open.

The walls were too thin so we heard all the night people arguing and babies screaming. And also some people were continuously walking near our door

Very clean and spacious, with modern fittings. Excellent value for the price. The self-check in process was convenient. We initially struggled to find our room. It was in a separate building to where we checked in. The contact telephone provided was disconnected, unfortunately. A kind man helped us to locate the correct entrance. I believe that indicating that specific rooms are in the second building would have been helpful. Otherwise, excellent!

Wonderful hotel, very well organized with self check-in, clear instructions, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and a very dark room (perfect for a restful sleep!). On-site parking available. I would definitely stay here again! I recommend it without hesitation.

Very basic rooms, no coffee tea cutlery. There is no front desk and the WiFi was not connecting very well.
