Location was central. It was easy to catch a bus to the old city. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Pool is circular a good depth and was refreshing. Appreciated the air conditioned rooms in the heat. It was fine for us but not an older building so if you are in the 2 bedroom unit you need to walk up several flights of stairs.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apt which is spacious. It is up two flights of stairs and as this is an old, historic house there is no elevator. The neighborhood is lovely for walking, close to the beach, nice restaurants and quiet. Bus service to the old town is close by and only a 15 minute ride. Anita is very helpful and gracious.

Villa Filaus is a beautifully restored building outside the old city center of Dubrovnik. The host Anita met me upon arrival and she was so kind and helpful :) My room (with a small balcony with a table and chairs, for which Anita also provided a sun umbrella) was bright, quiet and very comfortable, including nice pillows and a nice shower/bathroom. The location is about a 40-minute walk away from the old city of Dubrovnik (or there's a bus, which I didn't end up taking), but if you don't mind walking it affords some beautiful seaside views (as well as several coffee shops, restaurants, and bars) along the way. There are supposed to be a nice promenade and a beach in the hotel's neighborhood as well, but unfortunately I didn't have time to explore them. There are a coffee bar, bakery, and grocery store within about a two-minute walk from the property. Would definitely recommend! Nothing.

Big rooms, quiet, nice veranda to sit out on. Breakfast was at an Italian restaurant nearby. Both morning we felt ill after we left there. Both mornings he did not get our order right.

It was a lovely room with a balcony right over the fountain. Anita was an especially gracious hostess giving us all the info we'd need to enjoy our stay. Parking is terribly expensive and hard to find in Dubrovnik, but this place has its own gated parking. The grounds behind the guesthouse are spacious and well kept up. Lots of character! The breakfast was provided by vouchers to a nice restaurant called Mamma Mia a short distance away, easy walking. The bus runs every 10 min into Old Town Dubrovnik, so even though we had a car, because of parking, we took the bus. It was a wonderful stay. We were fortunate to be on the first floor, but those upstairs had no elevator as it's an historic building and they are not allowed to put one in. This might be hard on some.

Beautiful home and great location No lobby

The location is a little hard to find. Parking inside the gates was great. The breakfast provide was a short pleasant walk. Best of all is the facility. What a beautiful villa with marvelous grounds. The interior is well appointed. The rooms are well done and Nespresso is great added touch. It was wonderful stay. No down side!

Anita was super helpful and friendly. The suite was very comfortable, with a large fridge. There is no restaurant on-site but breakfast was just a block or so away. The pool was small but nice. We had access to the companion hotel, More, but weren’t there long enough to check it out. Next time! Bus service to the Old City is very convenient.

??? Amazing place! We would easily go back here on our next visit to Dubrovnik. Beautiful and comfortable room, fast wifi, and the breakfast was nice (down the street). Catching the bus to old town was quite easy - not a problem at all. And we were close to a great beach that is quieter. Also lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend! Anita was very welcoming and thoughtful.

The location was perfect lots of nice restaurants close by and the beach with 5mins walk Nothing

Villa Filaus is in an excellent, quiet location near a quaint promenade. Breakfast was at a lovely little restaurant right around the corner, and it was delicious. The lady working at the desk was ever so friendly and helpful, providing interesting insight into the area and things to do. It was the perfect place for us to stay in Dubrovnik. Nothing

Beautiful villa, very modern inside, spotlessly clean, excellent host Nothing

Reception staff very welcoming and helpfull. Room coffee maker came with loads of 'portions' - not the usual 'two'. Garden is lovely - sorry but I picked some delicious figs off the tree for breakfast! Great location....very different to the hectic Dubrovnik old town. We didn't have a car but -you have your own parking. Loved the promenade to the beach with good bars and restaurants and a great family vibe. My favourite area on the mainland. I booked this place, totally ignorant of Croatia/Dubrovnik, purely because it looked near to a beach. My expectations were that it would be adequate....it was an excellent choice. Found the electronic combination lock room doors a bit of a hassle, compared to, say, a key card. I, and my friends, both managed to set the door alarm off.

Lovely and clean, very hospitable, great location for access into the old town

Property is lovely, ideally situated for restaurants and bars in easy walking distance as is the bus stop down to the old town. Must mention the receptionist Anita, who is clearly passionate and proud of what she does and her area, she went above and beyond giving advice and assistance to us. Nothing

Clean, high quality furnishings, lovely period features. Ideal. Location for the seafront promenade. Supermarket close by! Small pool to cool off by. Close to bus stops. Nothing!
