Motel 6 Dumfries, VA

Bedroom ceiling leaked terribly. Staff wouldn’t change rooms. Also the laundry never works. Cracks in ceilings, dirty bathroom, especially in the corners of the room, and the shower, half the lights do not work.

Our door did not lock - the deadbolt wouldn't work. The room smelled of smoke and the bathroom smelled like weed. There was some soap, but no shampoo or body wash. The worst part was the morning. Around 8 am there was a power issue that resulted in the microwave beeping incesently. The lights didn't work either - so showers in the dark. We couldn't be happier to leave!!

The pool wasn't even open. The rooms weren't that clean.

The room was extremely dirty to the point I went to the store and got a antibacterial wipes and wiped the floors and tub down several time with them still turning up black. The first night there 2 random men came knocking on my door looking for someone so didn't feel safe after that. Only positive was the lady at the front desk during check in was so kind and funny

When I arrived to check in, there was no one at the front desk. I waited, called out several times, and received no response. Eventually, I found a member of the cleaning staff, who informed me that the receptionist was busy. Only after expressing concern that guests should not be left unattended was someone brought to assist me. Although I was assigned a non-smoking room, the room had a strong cigarette odor. It appeared that the smell may have been circulating through a shared ventilation or air conditioning system, making the entire area smell like smoke. While the bedding and linens appeared clean, the room itself felt dated, dark, and poorly maintained. One of the bedside lights was not functioning, and the window faced directly onto a staircase and walkway, leaving little privacy if I wanted natural light in the room. After trying to rest for a few hours, I developed a significant headache from the persistent smoke smell. At that point, I was too exhausted to argue or request another room, so I decided to leave and find accommodations elsewhere. Overall, the lack of staff availability, poor room conditions, and overwhelming smoke odor made for a very disappointing experience.

It was right by a waffle house The service sucked. And it felt like things were on me once I got into bed. I woke up feeling itchy. I hope I didnt get bed bugs

Let's just say that the front desk person didn't felt like helping me, not going to get into details but very very disappointed with this property

The man at the front desk was not helpful at all. I was in the middle of an emergency. Yes, when I booked the room I put a guest name on the room. I was asking him to remove the guest and so he had no access to the room due to a domestic violence incident that day and he hung up on me. I went to another hotel and was not issued a refund

Issue: she refused my service dogs and then, when I informed her that ADA Federal Law prevents this action, she made me wait almost 4 hrs for a room that was "pet friendly" despite me attesting that my 2 dogs were not "pets", but registered service animals. She actually, verbally stated that she didn't care. In a separate but related incident, the same employee charged me $10/ towel, claiming they was soiled beyond what she deemed acceptable. I had to lay them down on a sopping wet floor (trip hazard) from where they'd mopped just before I entered the room. She then harassed me by repeatedly knocking on my door, insisting I take the towels. I didn't answer, concerned about escalation. I'll win this case, but "buyer beware"!

The room was clean, staff was very helpful, great location. I will definitely be returning sometime soon!!!
