English Review: A charming and intimate beachfront resort with direct access to the sea, maintained to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and upkeep. What truly makes this place special is its outstanding staff. From the reception team to the maintenance personnel and the restaurant staff, everyone was consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Every request was met with kindness, efficiency, and sincere care. Whether this reflects the naturally warm hospitality of the Filipino people or the owner’s excellent judgment in selecting staff with exceptional communication skills and empathy, the result is remarkable. We stayed here for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our visit. The combination of the beautiful setting, excellent facilities, and truly exceptional service made for a wonderful experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting the area and would be very happy to return ourselves. What could be improved? It is genuinely difficult to find anything negative to say about this resort, as our overall experience was excellent. However, if I had to mention a few minor points: First, while the property is maintained to a very high standard, some of the infrastructure—particularly a few of the bathroom fixtures and faucets—is beginning to show its age. They are fully functional and did not affect our stay in any way, but a gradual replacement program could make the resort feel even more polished. Second, guests should be aware of the Happy Hour policy at the restaurant. The promotion is advertised as “buy one drink, get one free,” but this does not apply to beer. As many Western travelers naturally tend to order beer, we assumed it was included and only later realized that it was not. This resulted in us being charged for all the beers we ordered during Happy Hour. That said, once we mentioned that the exclusion should perhaps be communicated more clearly, the reception team immediately understood our point and kindly removed the additional charge without hesitation. Their response was professional, courteous, and entirely consistent with the excellent service we experienced throughout our stay. A third point relates to value for money. While the resort offers excellent service, a beautiful setting, and a very pleasant overall experience, its rates are somewhat higher than those of comparable properties in the El Nido area. As a result, the value proposition is good rather than exceptional. Guests seeking the lowest-cost option may find alternatives nearby, although those alternatives may not offer the same level of service and attention to detail. Overall, these are relatively minor observations and do not detract from what was otherwise a wonderful stay. We would gladly return and would still recommend the resort to others visiting El Nido.

Great pool, great service, super nice Pool, big room, nice restaurant

The villas don’t really offer any privacy unless you keep the curtains closed all the time. The room was outdated with unfresh facilities, old slow airco and the toilet got blocked during our stay. We struggled to get support with early check in and check out.

The room was very spacious with a king bed and lots of room to move around, store luggage and store everything. The bed was just exceptionally comfortable - not too hard, not too soft. The bathroom was also very roomy with probably the best most powerful rain-shower we have ever experienced. The breakfast had multiple choices and they were all delicious. We weren't sure if there would be much of a beach in front of the hotel but there was and it was gorgeous to walk on. The pool was well kept and clean as well as the grounds and fauna were lush, expansive and covered all the little bits. The location on the beach was perfect. It was hidden from the main road but a 2 minute walk to little stores and tuk tuks to get everywhere. The hotel staff were unbelievably friendly and so accommodating! We loved it all. My wife wanted to stay longer!

We liked everything about our stay. The room was super clean, spacious, comfortable bed, huge bathroom, on the beach, delicious restaurant, comfortable chairs by the beach to watch the sunset, pool, and service was exceptional. They also made arrangements for transportation, booked private cruises, etc. This is a very well run resort and I highly recommended staying here. No complaints.

The room was spacious and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the deck was great! The pool lounges were comfortable and clean, with an excellent view overlooking the beach. The breakfast was delicious with good options. The staff were so kind and so happy to help in anyway they could. The location was great! On the beach, and only a short and inexpensive tricycle ride to El Nido Town if you're wanting to explore a bit more of the town and have more food options. We would absolutely stay here again! Nothing!

Amazing stay! This is one of the best hotels I've even been to in my 25 years of travelling through 4 continents! :-) Everything was amazing, from our garden cottage to the delicious food we have for breakfast (and dinner too!). I also have to mention happy hour with 2 cocktails for the price of one! Staff was extremely friendly, I cannot emphasize that enough, and made us feel at home from the moment we got there, all 4 days and nights! Food was delicious, every single meal we had was great, bed was comfy, and our cottage was just perfect! I loved we had pool that was clean, with very nice surroundings, and so nice beach view. I'd highly recommend Last Frontier to anyone visiting El Nido! There's absolutely nothing!

We booked a standard room with breakfast at Last Frontier Beach Resort through Booking.com. Our room was on the ground floor of the main building, which is the farthest from the beach. Surprisingly, this was a plus: it offered excellent privacy, minimal foot traffic, and strong WiFi, which made our stay very comfortable. The room itself was clean and well-equipped with the usual amenities—tea/coffee maker, mini bar, air conditioning, mosquito net, and more. The resort has a well-maintained pool located opposite the restaurant at the back of the property, with plenty of chairs and chaise lounges for relaxing. The staff was incredibly friendly, greeting us with a smile at every turn. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food—we especially enjoyed the Filipino fish soup with a hint of hot peppers. We were able to easily arrange a scooter rental for a day through the front desk, and the receptionist provided great recommendations for destinations on the island, including Nacpan and Lio Beach, along with clear directions for driving there. One of the highlights of our stay was that the resort caters exclusively to adults. Unlike other resorts in El Nido that had loud, party-like atmospheres, this resort offered peaceful evenings, perfect for enjoying poolside drinks while taking in the placid bay. We left wishing we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend Last Frontier Beach Resort, and if we have the chance to return to El Nido, we would definitely book a longer stay here. While the beach is not at the resort's perview, we had hoped that the beach be cleaner.

The only thing I didn’t like is leaving the key with the front desk. It kind of feels weird but the staff being amazing did help.

Kay was a great host

I’m retired hotelier and there’s nothing more surprising about this property has a top notch service and a very well maintained property. The staff are so efficient , helpful and friendly. Do I recommend it this Hotel Resort? Oh hell yeah! Service ! Service! Very nice place

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is in a quiet area and only 25 min walk to town or 100 peso tricycle. Room was super clean and spacious. Hotel overall was so pretty and had a nice pool. Breakfast was included and had good options and was yummy. WiFi worked well both inside and outside the room. There honestly wasn’t anything I disliked or can complain about.

We enjoyed the daily inclusive breakfast, there were several choices. The location of the pool so close to the beach enabled you to have both swimming options from your beach lounge. The property was well maintained, peaceful, and the staff were excellent. Not an extensive lunch/dinner menu; however, there were other dining options along the beachfront that we could go to. There was nothing we didn't like.
-
I booked a tour in the front desk but I specifically asked for no more than 15 persons. I was told the tour departs at 8:45 am but departed 10:00 am being the last boat with 30 people onboard

Rooms were fantastic! Loved the sitting area on the deck, a piece of your own space for coffee in the morning. Breakfast was good, the staff were very nice. It was a nice pool area to watch the sun go down. Super comfy sun beds!! Everything was wonderful!!

the staffs were nice, the location was amazing. the room was pretty neat. it was comfortable to stay with The lavatory was high for us since we are tiny people?

Breakfast was so great we ate here every morning. We had multiple meals here, including my dad's birthday dinner that the staff was kind enough to decorate extra for. The staff was helpful from the security guard who helped us check in when we got in at an awfully early hour, the staff who set up transport and in room massages, and the staff who would always check if we needed anything when we walked by. The location is great. Right on the beach with a beautiful view. We stayed in a cottage that was comfortable. I really love the environmentally conscious decisions they made. I also appreciated the spigot outside to wash your feet. What a beautiful property. This isn't really in their control but there's a lot of people who try to sell you stuff from the beach as you are eating. It's tough because we understand these are still members of their community and I respect the hustle. It just was a bit much at times despite there being signs and staff actively trying to discourage them.
