Weekends El Nido Beach Resort

Despite the poor reviews we gave this hotel a chance given it’s location and price point. The previous reviews don’t seem fair at all. Although not a luxury hotel - it was exactly as described. Four bunk beds with a private bathroom. The room was well cleaned and basic. The pool, beach bar and beach were fantastic. The restaurant was good for lunch and dinner, simple menu. Lions, walking distance away on the beach, was amazing for dinner. Breakfast was served buffet style on one day, but then switched to al a carte due to low occupancy. Food was far better this way and became good. You get what you pay for here - no frills, but great staff and not a bad place to stay for a family. No hot water in the shower.

The pictures look really beautiful and the beach out front was nice And the free airport shuttle was clutch I don’t even know where to begin with this first of all it is an outrageous amount of money for what you were getting. The group bathroom situation is disgusting decrepit falling apart it smells. There’s no hot water. Also the mosquito situation you’re getting eaten alive our door didn’t even have half of the top of the door on it like a solid 3 inches were missing from the top of the door. Also, you sleep in a bug bedroom. The beds are OK. The AC was good. The smell was not great. The staff were nice but not helpful not worth the money.

Great location, lovely staff, airport pick up and drop off and the pool and view are amazing! The property is located right on the beach front. There is a beautiful pool overlooking the sea. There is also a bar and nice outdoor seating area. Unfortunately the rooms are sparse and the bathrooms need renovating. I think the property has become run down for the price you pay.

Staff lazy & unhelpful ! In 4 nights the room was not made up ! Constantly chasing after clean towels! There seems to be a scam with bed linen ! It says on signing into hotel that stained linen is chargeable! Pillow cases had bleach stains on them ! To me this was acceptable as they were perfectly clean (but stained) was later charged for this upon leaving the hotel so be careful!!! Also upon arrival was offered a windowless room ! It’ll do if you’re desperate otherwise I’d steer well clear

Beautiful property and location. Not a big deal for my wife and I, so we didn’t bother to ask to get it fixed, but the TV said the router needed to be reset to watch Tv.

Nothing. The worst stay we've all ever had (3 of us) manager was rude and unaccommodating after facing several issues during our stay (receptionist trying to overcharge on arrival, room not been ready for 2 hours from time stated, no running water in room, room not being cleaned, when it was "cleaned" staff chucked away a bag of our belongings which resulted in them having to go through the bins to find it, not being able to move us after stating there was no other rooms available, when we could clearly see on both their direct website & booking.com that there was.) Everywhere in the hotel including the room was absolutely filthy with the same mess/dirt in the lobby restrooms/corridors being present for the whole 5 days of our stay. El Nido was amazing but this hotel really put a dampener on our stay. Tried contacting the hotel directly after leaving our stay with no response whatsoever.

The staff did the best they could do but due to policy could not help. The view was spectacular. I didn’t like that they charged extra for everything, upgrade (understandable) but early check with and upgraded room is not ok. I paid for the early check in but still had to wait for the room. After having to wait, the bathroom was dirty and apparently have roach issues which are being addressed. The breakfast was good , but again had to pay for a coffee fill up. For the price I paid, I would expect 5 star hotel. I paid for less in the Conrad Manila and it’s almost a 6 star. I mentioned the pool was cloudy and didn’t look very clean. They overgrown entrance way, almost felt like walking through spider webs. I could not recommend to my family.

The breakfast had a good variety, hot and cold. The pool was good and there was a cold water spa that was great. Location was excellent, right on the beach front and not too far from El Nido town. The resort has a free bus to take you to the airport after check-out and as it was too early for breakfast they packed us a take-away with pancakes, banana and boiled eggs. We booked last minute and didn't like our room location as we couldn't get internet and there was no window, but when asked to change the next day they were happy to oblige when some guests checked out. Unfortunately the place is a little run down but the staff were doing an excellent job to keep it neat and tidy.

-The towels were dirty every single day -The bed sheets were dirty with makeup stains and blood stains these had clearly not been changed and I had to request for these to be changed . -Rats and cockroaches seen at the hotel - the hotel in unclean in general (every toilets, seats in reception area for example) -The hotel said they run out of clean towels -Not enough supply of water bottles on request -Communication with staff was not up to standard as they could not arrange out pick up time effectively and changed this 5 times throughout the day -pool water was dirty - no WiFi in the rooms -room represents a prison -food not up to standard -rude staff who require a lot more training as they don’t seem to know their job description Overall I feel that the hotel has so much potential but the lack of strong management, untrained staff and poor cleanliness has let this hotel down. Due to this I would never recommend anyone to stay here this did ruin our holiday.

Spectacular pool with sunset views. Good location near many restaurants. Nice rooms. Friendly and very assistive staff (they even cut my fruits for me that i bought at the market :)) Many mosquitos and the net above bed was not protecting at all because it was too small. Bad wifi. If you have a tour in the morning and are rushing with breakfast make sure to order it ahead of other people coming, because they are a bit slow with bringing breakfast.

Near the beach Totally the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Overpriced. Checking staff have no idea what they are doing. We were told we don’t have a booking and had to show them numerous times our booking reference. Eventually they found it after 30 minutes. Room was doesn’t and full of mosquitoes and flies. The water was brown coming out of the faucet. Only one bulb working for the lights. Aircon was noisy and blowing warm air out. We stayed the one night of our 4 night stay and checked out to another hotel.

Great location, just on the beach so you can admire sunsets. Couple of good restaurants around so you have options where and what to eat. Rooms are great, spacious and comfortable. Staff was very friendly.

very nice view away from the noise and busy street of downtown the property it self is nice and clean but El Nido as a whole seems un-regulated, observed few restaurants / hotels discharging there sewer straight to the beach at night (after 10 pm), most restaurants we ate at seems to discriminate fellow filipinos and attending more to foreigners.

Location, the bed, complementary breakfast, ride to the airport. Over priced. They did not clean before my arrival and it’s is due for an over haul. Younger staff not motivated.

They ran out of several items for breakfast (ie. corned beef, bottled water, & club soda. More assistance from staff. In the evening they had family that took over the bar and pool area.

The views Algae growth in the pool because it was never cleaned. The room was filthy, including the bedding. Our Villa room 1 was infested by mosquitoes that were coming out of the drains. The room smelled like sewage. There was no water pressure or hot water in the shower. No Internet. Water leaked into the light fixture, causing power outages. We finally had enough and had to leave on the fifth day of a nine day stay and pay for another hotel nearby for the remainder of our trip. You better bring lots of cash because they don't accept credit cards. I had to pay for my room upfront. I'm hoping I'll get a refund and I will fight for it.

Location right on the corong corong beach. Perfect view of the sunsets. Nice pool and airconditioning and hot water in the rooms. Staff is friendly, but unattentive and forgets almost every order. Breakfast menu is simple. There are much better restaurants nearby. Rooms have no windows.
