Motel 6 Elizabeth, NJ - Newark Liberty Intl Airport

Absolutely disgusting. People staring at me and my wife as we pulled in and went to our room. The room was hidden in a dark hallway with buckets catching water from the moldy ceiling. Rooms looked outdated and unclean. No sound proofing. Very disgusting experience, we left early.

Worst parking

It wasnt clean nor did it smell pleasant

Towel rack was just barely hanging onto the wall. AC didn’t keep the room cool even when set at the lowest temperature.

Parking was a little confusing and full mostly, and our second room was better.

They park for airport and it was full always. floor had holes in one bedroom, but the other room was better.

No hot water and air conditioning was minimal

The building was run down

Well, the property is very unclean. The staff is very unprofessional. I think the room, as far as cleanness, was okay, not decent, not good, but it's okay. However, the hotel has a lot of noise, a lot of music at night, and is full of suspicious activities around, so I think it's a bad location to go to stay in.

It was close to were the airport was. After waiting a while and hoping the room would cool down it became obvious that the a/c just did not work. At that point it was too much hassle to switch as we had an early flight.

Clean room

Check in area smells like a back alley, strong urine smell, air conditioning did not work, no hot water in the shower, not enough pillows. Asked for another pillow they said we will bring you one. They did not.

This is not a place I would recommend unless you only need an overnight stay for the airport. The place doubles as a parking lot for the airport, and it is quite possible that you will be blocked in, or if you have to double park, you will get a knock on your door at who knows what time. His forbid you shall walk to someplace nearby and leave your vehicle behind. What parking there was, was very tight and you worry about walking out to a damaged vehicle. Vending was almost non existent. Outside noise could have been less. Cleanliness could have been a bit better. Housekeeping never showed while I stayed, for four nights.

On top of it, our neighbor to the left I’m pretty sure was living there as she was outside, barely dressed with her cat and when we tried to pass to go use the stairs, she looked at us like we were the problem

It is only a place if you need to crash for the night and need to be close to the airport.

The Motel is grungy at best. Staff were unpleasant, not helpful, and not welcoming. There were bugs in the room, the carpet is stained and peeling up. The entire property is extremely run down. Shocked Expedia even promotes this property.
