La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Elkhart

The location was good for a stay while our fifth wheel was at the Moryde facility. We have three cats, so places to stay is limited. The rooms were clean and the staff members friendly.

This was a clean well lighted spot a few minutes off the highway in the midst of a long drive. We checked in at 11:30 and out at 6:30, so we hardly noticed anything. Elkhart, IN is a place, sort of, and we scooted off to miss the worst of traffic heading west underneath Chicago. No complaints. I finally really appreciate the "discount" of an included buffet breakfast: time and a "deduction" off the rack rate.

The room smelled like smoke and mold. The main light didn’t work and the room was hot when we walked in. Didn’t sleep the greatest because the walls were thin and the pillows weren’t great. Would not rate this hotel as great as it was listed after our stay.

The rooms were clean. the air-conditioning iffy on blowing out cold air. But it was definitely the two elderly lady's that made me realize I need to research a hotel before reserving a week. I watch these to act like children antagonizing a gest making jokes on his looks and proceeded to call his room and hang up laughing about it when he came out to talk about it calmly the first time they said how's it feel to have an alarm going off when he was trying to sleep. They explained further saying that his alarm was going off all night he said he didnt have an alarm clock and they had no alarms on he offered to so nanny came footage to prove it they continuous berated and told him to leave if he didnt like it he asked to speak to the owner and they said no they weren't calling him. I went to my room came back out to get a drink out of the vending machine. For one of the elderly lady's to point me out telling another guest that I witnessed him verbally attack her...... later the guy housekeeper said these lady's do this all the time and the owner dose nothing because they have worked here longer than he's owned the place. Moral of the story come here knowing you run the risk of being part of these twos childish games..... The owner's brother also owns motel 6 right next door i dont know if this is a reflection of how they run that hotel also. And im at breakfast again and watching this elderly lady poke insults at people again 2nd day in a row.

This hotel was NOTHING like the pictures. It was dirty. Floors were extremely dirty and stained. The shower had mold. There was dust and grim on the TV stand and bedside tables. Their breakfast consisted of toast, bagels and sausage links.

Rooms were very clean. Although 1 room smelled of smoke. Breakfast is great.

Booked it for the proximity to I80/90. Very well kept and clean hotel. Front desk staff was very friendly and quick to check us in. Free breakfast and coffee was good to start the day before the last leg of our drive home. Room was clean and the ac worked great.

My ONLY complaint was that I was hoping to check in early. The desk clerk without a beat said it’s $20 for early check in. Nothing else. Seemed rude and short with me.

It’s an old hotel.

The hotel was perfect for the price. Staff was nice. Lobby is small but clean. Breakfast was simple but included. Walls are thin. I could here snoring in the next room and I people above me footsteps were very heavy. It definitely needs updating but I would stay again if it's for a short trip.

The breakfast in the morning wasn't great, either. They had a juice machine that was broken, and hardly any real choices for food. We were only staying for one night so for our purposes I guess it fit the bill, but this is not a place I would suggest for anyone to stay in.

Great stay, quick trip and they made it easy.

We stayed here traveling on a long road trip. The pictures online were a deceiving. Our room was nonsmoking however it smelled like smoke. Otherwise it was fairly clean. We would probably choose another property.

The room was super clean. But the TV didn't work, and the toilet seat was too small for the bathroom toilet and kept sliding around when someone sat on it.

Did not use the amenities but the hotel and staff were great

Simple, clean room. Friendly staff. Elevator out of order at evening check-in. 2nd floor room toting up a pet carrier was balanced with a waved pet fee. All operational by morning. Fair enough. Would stay again.
