Breakfast was great with delicious options and fast service from owners - two gentlemen who were courteous and friendly. The hotel is small and comfortable for a few days and ideal for a long weekend in the countryside. We walked through the vineyards on the hills and dropped down to the other villages - taking the train back to Eltville if we walked too far! Rüdesheim am Rhein should be avoided like the plague - it is a tourist trap except for the Mechanical Museum! The beds were squeaky and hard - new ones needed - but after long days walking they were acceptable and the rooms were really peacefully quiet...

The breakfast is excellent. A selection of proper cheese and meats, direct from the suppliers, not out of a packet. Friendly and smart people run this hotel. Everything was as it should be.
