Hotel Villa San Giovanni

The property was lovely with a fantastic view. Breakfast was good. The bathrooms were a little small, as were the rooms, but you are paying for the view. The rooms could have been larger, but you are paying for the view.

It was very hot

The cleaning ladies are very thorough. Breakfast was sparse with very few options and no fresh products. The whole building, particularly the interior, requires an immediate refurbishment. Everything is worn out and even broken. Door locks from the 1980's could not work so well today. This is the sort of place that has everything to be absolutely fantastic (of course, they would be able to charge more). But needs investment.

A beautiful location with breathtaking views that you can admire during breakfast. Very clean building, very helpful and friendly staff, and parking included. The facilities are a little old, the room does not have AC, which was a little inconvenient staying here in July.

The hotel, the breakfast and the view was incredible, very peaceful and safe. The personal were very helpful as well to clarify or give us suggestions . The place is a bit outdated, WIFI didn't work well but there was no coffee or fridge in the rooms. the mattress in our room was too thin but the entire place was peaceful.

Outstanding location with breathtaking views to Monte Cofano. Well, a lot of 'bygone era' vibes... the 70s were great but this place has more potential.

This is probably one of the best locations you will find in Erice. It's a beautiful monolithic old school hotel right on the cliffs edge making for some of the most insane views I have ever seen. Definitely book the side with the view to the sea vs. the town. I suppose they don't make places like this anymore.

Great location with amazing view

The view was great. but only after we asked to be upgraded. First room was small, dark and looking into the courtyard. First day they served cheese at b'fast. Second morning they did not. We were told that the first day there were "Americans". Very discriminatory and stingy... Doors were dificult to shut, making terrible noises with echoes. Killed 7 mosquitoes the first night and slept only a few hours. The second night slept with windows shut but gasping for air. Needs mosquito nets.

Staff was very helpful and friendly helping us navigate through the city and providing recommendation on dining. Good value for money you pay.

The view is incredible, the staff is wonderful, breakfast was nice. The room for the cost is reasonable, it is a safe place to stay for the evening and sleep. Really loved our stay and would definitely stay again. We were worried we weren't going to have anywhere to park, and when we arrived the host came out to greet us and explain. There is a private parking area and we were very appreciative. Room is for sleeping, you're not going to spend long here, if you want to hang around, there are sitting areas and balconies. That being said, the size of the room is small, and the bed could be more comfortable and more pillows given. Not a large compliant at all.

The view is amazing if your on the right side. Wow!!! I will post pictures! This is up in the mountains in a medieval charm. If walking from bus station it is a little difficult. Just be aware of that . No AC but I kept balcony doors open all night and they did have a fan. So not too bad. It was kinda nice no mosquitos in mountains. Simple single bed room could be upgraded.
