Rodeway Inn Escondido Downtown

I had to call the police within 5 minutes of getting my room key, due to domestic violence in the next room over. When I turned on the air conditioning, the unit smelled like urine.

Nothing, the hotel was very bad, for the price. Bathroom’s door is broken, hot water is not working.

Bathroom and shower not clean. Mold on outside of shower. Floor was sticky and dirty.

As a woman I didn’t feel safe.

Great location for our needs More run down than expected. Expected better accommodation for the price

Property is old and not well maintained. TV remote was not working. Window blinds were broken. Other customers appeared to be using the property on an hourly basis. Common areas were dirty and parking lot is super small. Would not recommend for a family.

Wonderful staff, pressure in shower was amazing Bed could have been more comfortable, loud humming noise off and on all night , we believe was coming from refrigerator, forgot to tell office, was very annoying

Dingy room

Staff not friendly, in fact rude, the whole place smelted of strong middle eastern food, very loud.

Property wants pets because they get 30 dollars a night per dog. Spent 3 nights for 180 dollars and the room was never cleaned a definite ripoff for pet owners. Room had dirty floors and the only available room on ground floor was a single king size bed

A/C controls didn’t function properly

Place was clean and the property was taken care of. The staff (NOT THE CLEANERS/ROOM SERVICE) The owners spoke hardly any English. They got our account and name wrong. They hung up on us 3 times. No one knew the details of my stay and they kept putting me on hold while they walked around asking and calling ppl for details. I could hear everything while I was on hold. When they couldn’t figure out how to help me, they just hung up the phone.

The staff were friendly. Water was hot and water pressure in shower was awesome

The shower curtain was torn and disgusting. The shower faucet was difficult. The electric outlet doesn’t work. The blanket was old and had many holes. There were no chairs or lamps. The heater was very loud.

Room smelled , did not have a working TV , the manager showed up at 9pm to fix it it worked until i changed the channel then back to an error message and blue screen ..there were no lamps so it was overhead lighting which was very bright ..the manager called about an hour after I arrived and askef of I had water in my room red flag ..but on a positive note the manager was nice enough to give me extra towels and was friendly so .. i will give the Staff 5 stars but the room one star ..i only paid 58 dollars so I guess i got what i paid for ..also the bed was very comfortable. . And there were stores and food nearby with in walking distance not a bad place but definatlely not for fancy folks

Close to where we needed to be. Horrid place that should be closed or raided by the police or both. My husband was approached by a prostitute walking around the property in underwear bumming cigarettes; staff said she was harmless. Dangerous and bad for North San Diego. AND no longer have breakfast, which is another reason this place was chosen.

No staff came by to see if you needed anything, when I first got there, had to call for someone to come and turn my air on, too high for short people, like myself to reach to turn on, so, the lady at the desk, came to turn it on, and she had to figure out how to turn the air on, only a shower, no tub when I got there, I like to soak, and, when I got ready to leave to turn in the key, the office had opened, but the door was locked, had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come, and lastly, I had to pay $100, for whatever reason, when checking in, which they give back to you, after you check out, will never stay there again!
