Valley River Inn

I was told I would be a quiet room but I was next to the elevators and was constantly disturbed by kids running and being kids.

We stayed five days. We enjoyed the facilities. I would have given 5 stars but the beds are uncomfortable

Second factor. Employment was poor! Felt like we kept running into excuse after excuse the service was great at the sweet water for dinner but the morning host was rude and not very friendly and made up another excuse! The front desk agent wasn’t very friendly either. In all we learned and will not be staying again! Wasn’t the best experience.

The room was clean and well-equipped. The lobby area was beautiful, the location was perfect for our needs. We also enjoyed the restaurant.

The restaurant situation was also frustrating. Even when there were empty tables, they wouldn’t seat us without a reservation, so we never got to try the breakfast. Overall, the hotel feels under-equipped compared to what you’d expect at this price point. I also feel like the hotels in this area hiked up the price because of Savannah bananas were there. If I go to Eugene again, I will not stay there.

Nice place

Clean and comfortable room and a beautiful location right on the river. I love that it felt homey with various sitting areas, books to read in the lobby, and even a couple of pianos for guests to play. We were there for a track meet and having the river walking/jogging/bike path right outside the door was fantastic for getting in workouts without having to run in the street. The reason I took off a star had to do with staff communication. When I called to make the reservation, we were told there was an airport shuttle and to call when we landed, but it was unavailable and apparently you need to reserve it days in advance. Also, the restaurant - although beautiful with an amazing river view - was mediocre and the host wasn't particularly friendly. In addition, the restaurant was closed an entire day due to a special event and the food court at the mall across the parking lot didn't open until 10am. We had to scramble to get an Uber into town for an early breakfast before the track meet. Some warning so we could have planned accordingly would have been nice. The hotel is a little out of the way (15 minute drive to the university and downtown) but nonetheless, I would recommend it and stay there again.

The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. That air conditioning was perfect.

Great place to stay: convenient to walking, biking, shopping, campus. Comfortable rooms and wonderful amenities: fitness room, pool, lounge like lobby. Staff is always amazing and there are new water bottle refillers near the ice machines!

Hotel was very nice. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river with lots of birds to view in the evening. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool which was very clean, large, nice temperature, with lots of places to sit and umbrellas to keep us in the shade. The staff were lovely. I would definitely stay there again.

Get a room facing the river if possible, this truly adds to the experience! The hotel staff was friendly and attentive and my room was exactly as it was pictured. Ate and had drinks at Sweet Waters and the service was wonderful. Would stay here again!

We had a great stay here! Love the design of the main lobby. The 2-bed room was large and accommodating. Loved the river view. Really appreciated the check in staff helping us book the quietest room available. We had been traveling for several days with kiddos and they helped us find a first floor room on a less booked hallway with no one above us. This meant a great deal to us. The pool was great. We also had breakfast at on-site restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions were large. It was nice to look out on the river in the morning too. We would def. stay here again.

Good and convenient location for downtown and U of O. On-site restaurant, immediate access to walking path. Mall with arcade and other restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are updated. Other criticism is uncomfortable sofa bed mattress.

A great property however understaffed. On time check is not guaranteed, our room was ready 2 hours after check in time of 4:00. Very inconvenient!

This is our favorite place to stay. The staff is great. The rooms are big and the pool is top notch !

Our stay was restful. Right along the river there was a nice walking path for morning and night exercise. The pool was clean and not too crowded. We would stay again!

I loved staying here! Far enough out of the main part of town to have peace and quiet, close enough to get where you want to go in 5 minutes. Wonderful experience!

There was plenty of parking even on a sold out graduation weekend. The pool was great with lots of towels and space to hang out. It was the perfect spot for our family to gather
