Nice place. I did not like having to pay $15 a night to park.

Great hotel, spacious room, pool and staff! Very clean and family friendly!

Loved the room, but had some cleaning issues and some of the people should be vetted before allowing the stay there. It reeked of marijuana and seemed like gang bangers in laundry room. However, overall it was a great room and loved the kitchenette.

Very spacious room with a comfortable bed and nice TV. Breakfast was really good. The outdoor area and pool were extremely nice. Staff was generally accommodating and helpful. Cons: Parking is a flat $15 fee despite not being in the city center. The Mosaic District is close but not walkable because it's across a huge, dangerous stroad (Gallows Rd). The room was very dated and not very well maintained. The air conditioner made an extremely loud metal-rattling sound that made the bedroom area vibrate. The floors appeared clean but were very sticky/oily. We requested a crib for our stay, and they provided a small pack-and-play that had a bent crossbar. When I initially booked, I requested adjoining rooms and received a canned response like "we'll make every attempt to accommodate your request". When we got to the property, they told us they didn't have adjoining rooms. It would've been nice to know that when I initially asked.

good clean safe for a traveling family of 5 with 2 dogs. Breakfast was great! Kids love the options of waffles, cereal, bacon ,eggs, frutis. very good.

Beautiful property and excellent breakfast.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The toilet was way too low to the ground. There was no exhaust fan in bathroom, so it felt like sauna when showering, and we had to buy spray in order to prevent smells taking over entire hotel room. All staff was extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was decent. The kitchen in room was great to have. The pool is small, but well kept. The basketball court only has one goal, so only one family can play at a time. Housekeeping made us feel rushed to get out hours before we were due to check out, came to our room four times after we had already informed them we had scheduled late check out. Overall we had a great stay.

Residence Inn by Marriot in Merrifield Virginia was the perfect home away from home for my teen son and I while we visited extended family and went sightseeing in Washington DC. Our 2 double bed room was comfortable: a kitchen with dishes and pots, sink, stove, and fridge; desk for my son's laptop (and WIFI); cable TV and streaming services. We enjoyed the amenities: pool and hottub, basketball court, laundry, and fitness center. The daily breakfast was excellent, offering many delicious options. We also appreciated the free shuttle service to and from the Dunn Loring Metro station, which we used to visit DC. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay at Residence Inn. Merrifield again.

Amazing staff, very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast, maybe a little repetitive for a long stay but still good. Having a kitchen was a huge cost saver.

Great staff and lobby area has plenty of room for our large group. Location was excellent with every needed nearby

I was nice customer service is good

I stayed here for more than two weeks, so my review is based on an extended stay rather than a single visit. Unfortunately, the experience was consistently disappointing. The property is very run down, and many amenities either didn’t work or were poorly maintained. The BBQ was broken, the spa was out of service, and overall the property felt neglected. The guest rooms are outdated and in need of significant renovation. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The front desk staff frequently acted as though guests were an inconvenience. Simple requests—such as asking for extra towels or a bar of soap—were often met with eye rolls or an attitude that made you feel like you were bothering them. Families with children seemed to be treated more as an irritation than valued guests. Breakfast was also disappointing, with portions and items being unnecessarily limited. I was especially disappointed with the management. Both Jack, the Operations Manager, and Andrea, the Manager, were consistently dismissive, condescending, and unwilling to help resolve concerns. As a Marriott Bonvoy loyal member who stays at Marriott properties regularly, this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. Rather than the quality I’ve come to expect from the Marriott brand, this property felt more like a neglected budget motel. I genuinely wish I could leave a more positive review, but bas
