Not a ton of space for one's stuff

Beautiful old building with great facilities and kind staff. Bathrooms got a little dirty over the course of the day and might have used an extra clean.

Nice hostel close to the city center and the bus station. Check-in was smooth and they gave me a lower bed as I requested. Dorm was spacious and the bed had its own light, power outlet and courtain for privacy. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the kitchen was clean and functional. The other common areas were nice too. I only stayed one night but I really enjoyed my stay and I would stay here again.

I absolutely loved my stay at Tilia hostel. I genuinely wish all hostels were like this - the building was huge, clean and well maintained. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean with a lot of natural light. All the common spaces were really taken care of. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, everything in walkable distance. I felt so welcomed and relaxed. I would love to come back and stay longer!!

It was clean, comfortable, spacious. The hostel vibe is great and there are multiple areas to chill / call / work on computer. Appreciated a lot the free lockers after the checkout All good honestly

The rooms were comfortable and having a kitchen was really useful. The only thing was the bathroom door in my room, it was a sliding door and was not closing well. But it's just a small detail.

One of the best hostels I ever stayed and I have stayed at dozens. Manager Leonardo was very nice and helpful.

I enjoyed the whole experience, the co.binations of: casual and efficient relaxed and well organised The staff were attentive and supportive but discreet, and remaining quietly in the background keeping all systems running smoothly. They were always helpful and very kind. Leaving.

What an interesting place! You can tell the building is quite old, so it was really cool to see all the modern touches and upgrades sprinkled throughout while keeping it’s character and charm. It’s a very clean hostel. Bed was comfy. Wifi was pretty good. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Towels are available to rent. Close to the bus station, only about 5-min walk. You can tell that this place is probably very popular and busy with lots going on during the peak travel seasons (and for good reasons). You definitely won’t go wrong choosing this hostel; I’d definitely come back.

Was in a great location. I loved the deck. Great old place. I didn’t like that every time someone left, 830am and on, the male housekeeper would come in and rip the covers off the bed. He didn’t wait til checkout. I had to ask him to leave so I could get dressed. I was in the female room. If I was you, I would definitely let them know that this is not OK if he walks in the room like this! I did notify the workers there, but I don’t know how serious they took it. He made it very uncomfortable.

Location is perfect. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It's clean and nice. They also have men's and women's dormitories available, which makes staying in the bathroom more convenient.

Great location, close to the centre of Faro, resfaurants, bars, shops, and within easy walking distance to the bus station. The building is so charming and the room had such authentic details..like the sliding old door of the bathroom, the old entrance door and the big window - such a unique touch that gave the place real character. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was surprisingly cozy. There is a kitchen, a lounge area and a patio where you can relax and meet other travellers and there are different social events happening at the hostel if you want to attend. The only small downside is that there was an annoying ticking sound coming from somewhere near the room and it went on the whole night. Also, because the bathroom door is sliding, it doesn't close totally so you don't have all the privacy you would expect. Luckily, we only stayed two nights, so it wasn’t a huge issue.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Loved how many social events were set up — it made it very easy to connect and make friends with other travelers. The room was quite small but it’s a hostel so what can you expect!

The hostel itself is nice! The staff were obnoxious and rude.
