I had a wonderful stay at the Sunlight House! The location was perfect and made it easy to explore the area. My room had everything I needed and the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. I felt right at home and will definitely be staying here again the next time I’m back!

Location, friendly staff

Excellent location. So close to the old town and restaurants. The room was cute, the rooftop deck was a great place to sit out on. It was cold. The room took a long time to heat up. The bathroom was really nice, but it was very cold and damp. Water on the floor every morning. It was kind of hard to find.

3 types of breakfasts offered on the rooftop patio or inside. Very comfy bed. We had a room with ensuite bathroom. Some rooms share a hall bathroom. Excellent free parking lot across the street. Nothing

Position and cleanliness

One of the most charming places we stayed in Portugal, and we didn't have a bad stay anywhere! The room was beautiful! The staff could not have been more helpful and the location was really nice for getting around. The only thing I didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer and take part in the festival that was right by the hotel. It looked like it would have been a lot of fun.

Comfortable room with very personable owner. Inability to check in upon arrival at hotel as reception not open and facility was locked. Had difficulty with our phone and unable to contact management

We enjoyed the breakfast on the upper patio and found the location to be good.

Parking is accessible, at a free parking lot nearby (1 min walk). The Wifi is decent (5-10 mbps), with a stable connection. Very comfortable bed/pillows. Very small bathroom. The shower head is fixed and points close to the wall.

This is more like a hostel than a bed and breakfast. For $150 euros a night, the room definitely lacked some appeal. We got the triple with a double bed and a single bed. The beds were stiff and the floors were not super clean (we walked barefoot on them and our feet were dirty afterwards). The breakfast was good, but not worth the extra cost in my opinion. The coffee in particular was very watery. Better off walking to a nearby cafe. The marketing feels off. It's more like an elevated hostel and then a quaint B&B. Our room was a bit underwhelming with zero amenities (minus a tea kettle for instant coffee and tea). No mini fridge, no drinking or food allowed in rooms, decently clean but not spotless (floors a bit dirty). Linens and bed were mediocre (linens thin, bed stiff).

Quiet location, but still close to all the sights. Good breakfast.
