The hosts were extremely welcoming and very kind. They helped us with knowledge of the local area, how not to get lost, and even supported us when there was a misunderstanding with the baggage drop-off at the property. They were always available, offering tea/coffee and answering any question with a smile. We felt very taken care of, and the meals at the riad were the best part! We definitely recommend staying at this place, and also having meals here too, as at night the surrounding area can be intimidating. Best breakfast we had in Morocco (stunning rooftop), and they were very kind to even make us a packed breakfast for our early check-out. Easily my favourite experience. Bonus tip: there is an ATM that works near the blue gate, very short walk. The stay was perfect; this is just about Fes in general. I just want to warn future travellers that you must have cash on you at all times when in the medina and arriving to the Riad, as there will be people outside who will offer to help carry your bags, be aware that you need to tip/pay them even if your taxi driver to Fes has arranged for them to help you find your riad. It is a separate fee, so agree on a price before going with them.

The staff at this property is incredible, we have nothing but kind and wonderful things to say about everyone that we interacted with here.

This is a fantastic place! Very nice location, awesome rooms, and super friendly staff!! I would stay here again! Staff is always eager to help you navigate your stay and vacation Like any Riad it has steep steps to climb up to your rooms. It’s not anything you can avoid, and the staff will help you with your bags. Not really a negative but just be aware of this.

An absolute gem! This is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed, and as a full-time backpacker, that’s saying a lot. From the second we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. Hajar, Muhammad, and the whole staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off outside the Medina, organized a private guided tour of the Medina, helped us wash a few items of clothing, and were always checking in to ask about our day and if we needed anything. Our favorite part was the amazing rooftop terrace with incredible views of the Medina. We spent hours up there during our stay! The food was excellent (highly recommend the Fassi meat tagine), and the free tea and coffee anytime was a great perk. The room and attached bathroom were large and very clean. The AC worked perfectly. It was also great to have a TV in the room. I can’t recommend this place enough! I’ll definitely be staying here for any future trips to Fes.

The most hospitable place I have ever stayed at! As a travel advisor, I hold a high standard, and Riad El Ouedghiri exceeded all expectations. A warm welcome from staff that makes you feel at home, no matter where you’re from. All staff go above and beyond. Exceptional food, beverages, and service. Clean and comfortable stay with beautiful rooms, common spaces, and rooftop with panoramic views. Truly every corner is decorated in detail.

It was very well decorated and the staff was super friendly and helpful. It also has a great view of the expanse of the medina. The rooster in a neighboring yard that was calling very early in the morning. Nothing that can’t be fixed with earplugs.

Very good hotel, specially the service. The people inside the Medina trying to guide us to the Riad.

Staff was excellent and caring especially Mohamed and lady that checked us in. Excellent breakfast. Great rooftop view. We could have had breakfast on rooftop if we wanted to. Our room was small with one side of our full sized bed against the wall. Small shower was ~2’ x 2.5’. A/C was noisy. Narrow winding stairs to get to rooms; not good for anyone with mobility issues.

    Amazing staff and kind

The beds are pretty hard, but we encountered this everywhere in Morocco so I think that's typical for anyplace you'll stay in the city.

The riad was wonderful due to: - clean, enough space in the bedroom. - Amazing view from the rooftop to relax and hangout. - Delicious breakfast Mostly importantly, the staff members were really friendly and helpful. They were always offering tea/coffee, checking in how our stay was, and cleaned our rooms after the first day without us requesting. When we had a Fez medina guide issue last minute, they helped get us a new guide. We also had some health issues so they helped us to go to the pharmacy to pick up the medication we needed. In addition, while it was not their fault, we had some issues with a desert tour as we were leaving the riad, they helped talk to the tour company with us and help resolved the issue. As they say, they want us to be treated like friends and family, not hotel guests. Thank you again! If we had to be very picky, the bathroom can be on the smaller side for 2 people to be in but sufficient space for one person.

Great rooms and facilities with warm service. The staff is incredibly patient with everyone’s itinerary. The room is very well illuminated and is pretty spacious. The place is overall cool and the breakfast is great as well Nothing special to say all is good enough

The staff was very attentive and always making sure if my stay in Fes was satisfactory. The breakfast on the rooftop was very good. I extended my stay and had to move to the other room. In the second room, there was no division between shower and toilet, and the whole bathroom floor got wet after taking shower and slippery. I think placing some floor wiper will help.

We had an awesome 5 night stay at the riad and loved it. Right in the Fez Medina, clean, beautiful and comfortable studio. We had anything we needed and the hospitality was unbelievable: anyone- Hajar, tall Mohamed, shorter Mohamed, Ossama were always ready to help, super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great and served well. Beautiful roof top terrace; daily service; delicious tea. Absolutely perfect riad for exploring the Fez Medina. room location, and hospitality. Very charming and pretty. We had an issue with the shower head that was fixed immediately. Thank you. Everything in the room worked great and lay out could not be better. We definitely would stay again if back to Fez and highly recommend it. Everyone talked about the strap stairs but we found them charming and indeed very manageable

Super nice people, they are always for you, good food and amazing location

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

All the staff were extremely hospitable and helpful, especially upon giving me a map of Fez’s highlights to visit, and walking directions to the medina, and beyond. Another highlight was the full breakfasts in the mornings on the cozy rooftop terrace, with views of the city, the pleasant chirping birds, and the kind and friendly waiter, who served me each morning with breakfast. The stairs are steep, so you have to be fairly coordinated and fit, but I got used to the stairs routine, and thanked them for my daily, healthy workout.

This place was amazing!!!! The best riad of My trip. The hospitality was unmatched. It was incredibly comfortable. There was a nice, hot shower, a bidet, lots of pillows and even a TV. The view from the rooftop was gorgeous and the breakfast was outstanding! I couldn’t give this place enough compliments. They were just so so kind and helpful. I felt at home! The only downside are the stairs. They are somewhat steep and narrow but it wasn’t a bad thing. Just something some people may need to be aware of.

Farah was AMAZING. he helped us from the moment we stepped out of our transfer until the moment we left. He was so responsive to all our questions. He assisted us with our many bags of luggage upon arrival, helped us set up a guide for Fes, held our rugs while we were at the hammam, and arranged a very early transfer and provided us with breakfast upon our departure. I truly cannot say enough good things about the service and riad - best service we received in Morocco! We stayed at the 3 bedroom apartment down the street and it was absolutely perfect. Nothing. It was perfect.
