Distance from the room to the restaurant/pool. Staff not having a record of our payment to the room. Safe instructions weren't clear. Having to use the key to securely latch the door.

The location was good. Breakfast options were nice. The view from the balcony was lovely. The room was on the small side for how much we paid. Breakfast only started at 8am which was a little late for the days we wanted to explore before the crowds hit. Money was taken from my purse that I left in the room.

The sewage smell in the room and the area, disorganised

    Everything was amazing!

It was spectacular- the view, the rooms, the staff

Gorgeous rooms and views! The staff is amazing! So hospitable. Beware that there are a lot of steps. Totally fine for most guests but just be aware.

The location was also ideal — close enough to walk easily into the main shopping and restaurant areas, but just far enough away that the neighborhood stayed calm and quiet, especially during the daytime cruise crowds. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff took incredible care of us throughout our stay and were consistently kind, attentive, and generous. Small touches made a big difference: the coffee was restocked daily, the complimentary breakfast had full and satisfying portions, and unlike many tourist destinations, we never felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed for every little thing. One especially thoughtful touch was that whenever weddings were hosted at the property, little desserts would be brought to guests. It made us feel included in the celebration and added such a warm, memorable atmosphere to the stay. This place genuinely helped make our Santorini experience special, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Yes, the hotel is nice. The location is great. The room was clean, etc. But we didn't get the room we reserved! See the next question for a full breakdown. I am reaching out regarding a very serious issue with my recent reservation at Dana Villas & Infinity Suites in Santorini, Greece. My wife and I booked this property for our honeymoon specifically because of the exact room that was advertised on the Booking.com listing. Before booking, we carefully reviewed the room category, photos, layout, and view shown in the listing, and made our decision based on those representations. However, upon arrival, we were provided with a completely different room than the one advertised and selected during booking. We immediately raised the issue with the hotel staff, and were told that this “can happen with Booking.com.” The hotel also informed us that the room we booked was unavailable and that no upgrade or correction could be provided because the desired room category was already occupied. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering the amount paid (approximately €3,100) and the importance of this trip as our honeymoon. Had we known the actual accommodations would differ from what was advertised, we would not have booked this property at this price point. Imagine planning a dream stay, counting down the days, spending all that time traveling, finally arriving, then being absolutely disappointed that what was promised wasn't delivered. This is not a matter of preference or minor dissatisfaction. The accommodations delivered materially differed from the room that was specifically advertised and purchased through your platform. I am requesting that Booking.com review this matter and provide an appropriate resolution. I am prepared to provide: booking confirmation screenshots of the original listing and room photos photos/videos of the room actually provided documentation of our complaint to the hotel during the stay I would appreciate a prompt response and resolution before I proceed with a formal credit card dispute regarding services not delivered as described. Thank you.

The views were beautiful and breath taking. The staff were friendly and professional. They were a text away from any excursions we needed booked or transportation. The breakfast was very good and with good views. The room views were the best especially during sunset. We had our wedding at Dana Villa venue. It was worth every penny. My wedding coordinator made it so easy and stress free.

Breakfast was enough, located at a semi-central location. View is stunning I booked for the honeymoon suite but at our arrival (which was 4 pm btw), i guess our room was not ready and they gave us another room (master pool suite). When i complained about the room and the pool doesn’t look like in photos i was told that we were “upgraded” but that wasn’t looked like an upgrade. The room given to us was at the lower floors, had no door at the entrance, the lock (card) was not working on the other door and the smell was heavy&awful. Then i was told that the honeymoon suite(which i actually booked) was not available but somehow the problem solved and finally we checked into our actual room about 6 pm. The suite looked ok but there was a leak from the pool to the entrance of the room, so the floor was always wet&slippery when we enter the room. It’s said “heated pool” but it was not heated at all, was freezing. Other room’s pool’s lights were on at night and looked picturesque but guess ours was broken and not lighting up. We’ve been told the drinking water will be refreshed everyday but it wasn’t, we had to ask for it twice. Also told there was an assistance with the luggages but both in check-in and check-out there was no one to help with the luggages, we carried them up&down. To sum up, it was a bit disappointing experience total paid €1500 for two nights in the shoulder season (beginning of may). The hotel is not operated at it’s best and professionally for these costs.

Staff was very kind, place always clean, outside pool was amazing. The entire place had a smell when running the AC. The bathroom was always wet due to the inside pool or not enough ventilation in the room. Felt like I was sleeping inside a gym with a pool.

The location and staff were amazing, helpful and accommodating. The hotel was just opening for the season so things were in flux and the bed was very hard. The staff didn’t an amazing job accommodating us and addressing any issues.

Our private pool balcony view and the porters that helped us with our luggage. Bed was not the most comfortable

  • Engine customer Oct 2025

Easy walking distance to either Fira or Imerovigili. Unbeatable views and very friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was also delicious with many options for foods and drinks. Nothing. Everything was fantastic - would love to return in the future.

The View!!! That is literally the main reason to go and Dana does not fail in that department. We had the Honeymoon Suit with the swim out pool. It does connect from the shower, which is AMAZING. It felt very private, and the pool is wonderful. The sun bed is nice and the view is great. They gave us a complementary floating breakfast (normally its $50 extra) for our anniversary which was very nice and the breakfasts are huge and wonderful and we were full till dinner. We did do the floating dinner and it was really beautiful but that is also about the view as the food was okay but not as good as other local options. So my recommendation is book this room or one like it. Stay in your spectacular room almost the whole time, make one trip to Oia at sunrise and the morning (it is soooo busy). The sunset from the room is wonderful!! Make a daily trip up to look at one of the towns up or down the caldera for a few hours, otherwise just enjoy the room you are paying a small fortune for (it was worth it, my wife absolutely loved it). Dana's was the best part of the island. Also the porters are pretty impressive. Oh the doors are also super cute and blue like in the Oia pictures so no need to go far for that picture! But again, the double headed showers that you can both use after the swim out pool (and the pool itself) are really, really great!! Worth it all by themselves! So in my opinion the room you chose matters a ton! So this is not a bad thing. But be aware that it is 200 steps up to the top one direction and 187 up the other way so some fitness is needed. I would strongly recommend to make this a romantic vacation. It is not for kids, generally I mean the whole island, Tanagers would probably love it but little kids would not be safe there are soooo many cliffs and drop offs and pools. etc. The layouts of the rooms can be a little different than the pictures, I sort of like the layout of the room in the picture better than the one we had (had all the same elements but in somewhat different locations) but I liked the location we had so.... not bad just be aware. Also while the room is clean, it is clearly very had to keep things bright white so there were some scuffs and such on walls and floors. I imagine that is a constant battle.
