Santorini has lots of steps, however the staff helped with luggage so it was manageable.

Love the quiet location right outside Fira. Gorgeous views and great breakfast brought to our patio. Staff were very helpful and friendly! Nothing.

The room was very large with comfortable seating in the front room. The bathroom had ample counter space and the shower was set outside from the bathroom which never caused the room & mirror to steam up. Our Breakfast of choice was served directly to our patio, though we could’ve taken it at the pool if we had chosen to eat there. They set the table up with white glove service. It was very elegant and the food scrumptious and plentiful. The views were unbelievable! Our suite had a jacuzzi and it was enjoyable to cool off in it as the outside temps were quite warm. The jacuzzi was not heated which was a surprise. Not a good place if you have mobility concerns as there are so many stairs to get out of this room. The bathrooms lacked sufficient lighting. The patio does not offer sufficient shade so it was almost useless. We had booked this suite as the hotels web site said no children under 13 and a max of two guests per room. Immediately upon checkin we greeted by the noise of two children playing loudly in their outdoor jacuzzi and a total of 4 guests staying in their room! We were horribly surprised & disappointed by this as we were looking for a quiet suite. The hotel staff informed us the web site was incorrect. They did not have a similar room to move us. We asked for a discount which they refused to grant us. To appease us the did give us a $200 gift certificate to their high end Asian fusion restaurant that was right next door called Mylos. They must have also talked to the family as we never did hear any more screaming from the kids. We really did enjoy our stay and loved their Mylos restaurant!!

The view and the location When first arrived it took us a while to find the hotel. Maybe better sign for the hotel would be helpful

The room was clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was great. The location is excellent and safe.  Front desk staff (Nefeli) is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful.  She went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable.

Amazing staff and view Room was too small

This may not be a 5 star hotel. But its definitely a 5 star experience. The views were incredible. We were within a short walking distance to shops and restaurants. But this did require lots of steps. Which is also typical of Santorini’s caldera hotels, though at Sun Rocks we were closer to “street level” than many others. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. A staff member will carry your luggage to your room, you do not need to manage the steps. We booked at Sunset Boutique Hotel, which was then bought by Sun Rocks Boutique Hotel. Which is now a sprawling complex of rooms located at various levels on the cliff of the Santorini caldera. Due to the distance between sections of the hotel they have 2 reception areas. Honestly we liked everything. But for some future guests the following information may be helpful. We booked at Sunset Boutique Hotel, which was then bought by Sun Rocks Boutique Hotel. Which is now a sprawling complex of rooms located at various levels on the cliff of the Santorini caldera. Due to the distance between sections of the hotel they have 2 reception areas. From where our rooms were located the pool area was complicated to get to (a long walk with many stairs up and down, passing by other hotel’s guest rooms and balconies and hot tubs along the way). Our rooms shared a common balcony with 5 other rooms. Which could be an issue for someone concerned about privacy. But this is actually typical of Santorini. Most of the hotels that offer “private” pools or hot tubs have to allow guests of other hotels, and in some cases random tourists out for a walk, to walk past these supposedly “private” pools and balconies. Our balcony seemed quite private by comparison. It was not visible to people who were not guests. Access to our shared space was limited to guests in the 6 rooms.

What made my stay even more memorable was the hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife, who were both so warm and welcoming. Their personal touch made me feel valued as guests. The fine dining experience is definitely worth trying. The food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the views during dinner were simply stunning. A special mention to the talented saxophone player who created such a beautiful atmosphere in the evening—she was amazing and added something truly special to the experience. Thank you to everyone at Sun Rocks Boutique Hotel for making my stay unforgettable. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini. Nothing

The view , the second room we stayed , the size . Breakfast good , shower products good . Tv wasn’t working and they didn’t tell me when I booked , they moved us to second room , good room but the shower was broken . People next to my room talking non stop for a long time and loud , smoking non sense and for me this is disrespectful.

Breakfast was Excellent!! We liked everything about this hotel

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

Excellent location, not as many steps to climb down as other hotels along the caldera. Plus, an outstanding view of the caldera. And delicious breakfast.

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

The view and location were stunning. Breakfast was a gourmet meal individually prepared to your own preferences and then served to you by the extremely pleasant and helpful staff at your personal table with a million dollar caldera view. Perfection! Nothing

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

EVERYTHING! The view, the staff, and the VIEW! I also really enjoyed how close the hotel was to the "downtown" area. We were able to walk roughly 15 minutes to enjoy a great dinner. The hotel didn't have very good options for two travelers in one room. There was a queen-size bed and a trundle option. It would have been nice to have at least two twin beds.

Shower don’t have curtain and water spilled to the bathroom floor.
