The location of Comfort Apartments Royal Gardens was convenient, the room was spacious, and the morning staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. I also appreciated the emergency phone outside the building. I accidentally locked myself out of my room, and thankfully there was someone on-site who responded quickly and came to my rescue. Unfortunately, my check-in experience was disappointing. On my drive to Melbourne, I received a call asking if I would arrive before 5pm because the staff member was leaving. When I arrived, the gentleman checking me in insisted that I had not already paid for my room and appeared to dismiss my explanation, despite the receipt for my February payment being clearly visible in his file. He then informed me that he had charged me again, which was quite frustrating and made me feel as though I was being treated like I didn't understand my own booking. To her credit, the staff member on duty the following morning investigated the issue, resolved it quickly, and apologised on his behalf. However, it would have been appreciated if the original staff member had acknowledged the mistake and offered an apology himself. Another disappointment was that the dedicated Chromecast function on the TV did not work during my stay. While not a major issue, it was one of the advertised features I was looking forward to using and it would have been helpful to have it working properly.

The property was clean and comfortable We were not told we would have to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Also we were not told the parking would be $30 per day. This apartment is not suitable for older people

Spacious, clean , comfortable,great location for my work at the museum, great value, carpark. Serviced daily which I didn't expect. Only thing that let an otherwise perfect accommodation down was that the curtains were ripped and stained and needed replacing. Could be done very cheaply with pre-made curtains from Kmart or IKEA. The rest of the flat has newish furniture and is up to standard.

Its great value for money the female receptionist very helpful Bed a little hard but ok stairs tricky but this is factored into cost i think great to have smart tv and small kitchen
