Ive stayed here before and liked it just as much the second time. Only issue was I wish it was a bit cleaner - sink top had visible spots and glass had to be rinsed. And mattress was too soft for my old back. Otherwise fun, stylish and friendly with a good location.

The rooms are decent but no matter how much upgrade the place might have had, the property has that old motel feel in parts of it. The dark paint in the guest rooms is trying to make it seem cooler but we know better. That said, I would stay here again. The staff was helpful. The location is close to old town.

Wonderful boutique place with very well maintained grounds and plenty of space for everyone to do something (pool, hot tub, classy game room with pool table and fooseball). It was relaxing to sit on the deck while enjoying a handcrafted cocktail from a beautiful well stocked bar. The "all natural" general store served freshly made green chili stew and sandwiches that were delicious! It felt like cross between Palm Springs and Carmel in the mountains.

If you are in the area or doing a road trip and passing by Route 66 this is the hotel you want to stay, with an amazing pool and hot tub, a family oriented playing area inside the restaurant and amazing views, and fire pit to make s’mores, you won’t regret a minute here.

The middle bedside sconce lamp in room 224 needs the small set screw on the knob tightened or you will lose the knob. The only thing I’d change is keep the hot tub open later…

Beautiful rooms, comfy bed, beautiful Fri l grounds and hang out areas. The fire pits were great, the pool area was beautiful, and the cornhole was a fun activity. Loved the inside amenities as well!

Staff was lovely. The shared spaces were smart and hip. We stayed on the parking lot side of the motel and it felt quite like just that.

Awesome property that had old and new school vibes

Absolutely loved this hotel. The vibe was great for singles and families. The bed was so comfy and the sheets were soft. Shower pressure was perfect and the water from the faucet tasted fine. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great stop on the roadtrip. Enjoyed being able to order food on site.

They had a cute vibe with moody colors and mountain traveler vibe. Very nice. Food was just ok. Drinks were great. Bar was excellent. Beds were comfortable! Gabe room was fun and outdoor fire pits amped up the family angle. It was a good for a motel. The rooms were dark with minimal lighting and felt a little dingy. But good for a few nights. Not a destination location.

Great and wonderful stay. Only thing that prevented 5 stars is the in room coffee. Coffee was tasteless, and the contraption for making it is messy and ridiculous.

Our room was spotless, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The pool and hot tub were clean, well-maintained, and incredibly relaxing. The main lodge is stunning, with gorgeous interior design that creates a cozy yet elevated atmosphere. The food and drinks were also excellent—everything we tried was delicious. Between the beautiful property, comfortable accommodations, and great dining experience, High Country Motor Lodge is a place we'd happily return to and highly recommend.

Staff was amazing and very knowledgeable

Food and drink were obnoxiously expensive for what they were. Pool was ice cold even in June. Sauna was $75 for really nothing. Disappointed in how over priced the whole place has become. It was so great when it first opened. Beds were still comfy.

The lobby, check-in area, patio, store, bar and lounge, and open spaces were all appealing, with a trendy, upscale vibe. The food at night was excellent; the gas fire pits around the place added a nice, even romantic touch. The bartender, store employee and reception desk personnel were all friendly and helpful. The room was updated yet old (as it’s a renovated older motel-style building), but we liked it overall. The functioning cassette player was a neat touch. The price for the room, itself, is bloated. We’ve stayed in nicer rooms on our roadtrip for considerably less, so the value for the cost isn’t impressive.

Loved the property. Great customer service from the front desk & nice bartender. Wine was way over priced. A glass of Pinot Noir from a screw top bottle was 20.00 & another glass of Cabernet also same price of 20.00 per glass. Crazy expensive so wouldn't make that mistake again. Other than the wine rip off, everything else was great.
