The decor is very cute. If you’re expecting to explore Florence on foot, think twice. The location is much less convenient than the listing led us to believe. We found ourselves walking far more than expected, and as two women arriving after dark, we did not feel comfortable in the immediate surroundings. Had we realised this beforehand, we would have booked elsewhere. The room was also far noisier than expected. Trains run directly below the building, the plumbing can be heard whenever other guests use water, and doors started slamming at 6am, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Our toilet also leaked and made noise. V The room included only a basic kettle with a few tea bags and sugar. Small details on their own are not a problem, but together they contributed to the feeling that this property does not offer good value for the price. The 10:30 a.m. check-out is also inconvenient given the location. If you want breakfast elsewhere or need to leave luggage, be prepared for even more walking. What disappointed us most, however, was the response from the hosts. Rather than acknowledging our experience or making any attempt to improve our stay with a simple gesture, every reply was focused on explaining why the listing was technically correct. For us, hospitality isn’t about winning an argument—it’s about making guests feel welcome and cared for. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here.

Large bed, beautiful lighting and building, friendly and accommodating staff, delicious breakfast, good walking location from the train station, town, and the tram.

It was lovely and gracious, with a delicious breakfast, and staff were helpful and friendly. I would DEFINITELY return. I suggested they include a little more information in their welcome email such as noting when you enter from outside, will go to right, up one flight of stairs, conversely

The lady was very friendly and hospitable at the reception

I had a wonderful stay at Il Marzocco Boutique B&B. The room was cozy and exceptionally clean, making it a very comfortable place to relax after a day in Florence. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and communicative, always responding promptly to any questions. Breakfast was good, with enough variety to start the day right. I also appreciated how quiet and respectful the other guests were, which added to the overall peaceful atmosphere. The furniture and decorations are thoughtfully chosen and give the place a unique, charming character. The house rules are simple and easy to follow, and the location is excellent—close to both the train station and the city center. The bathroom was spacious, and there was plenty of hot water at all times. Overall, I didn’t encounter any issues during my stay and would gladly return. Highly recommended! No comment

Close to the train station and stop to go to/from the airport was across the street

I like the staff, she is very nice and very helpful. This is my first choice if I come again.

Great place to stay and very close to the tram and train station which was perfect for our needs.

Great location, walkable everywhere. The room is large and comfortable (we stayed in Deluxe). The staff is very responsive. The breakfast was basic but good enough, perhaps missing fresh bread. A little noisy from other guests (mostly doors closing/opening) and trams outside, but nothing crazy, earplugs do the trick

The price is too high for this kind of the accomodation

The rooms and facilities had a lot of charm and authenticity, which made it a really interesting place to stay for our visit to Florence. The location is central enough that the entire central Florence is within walking distance without be right in the middle of all the noise. It is also close to both a tram stop (for the airport) and the main train station Santa Maria Novella, making it easy to reach and get around from there. Whilst limited our interactions with the staff were very positive. The beds were a bit on the hard side for our taste. We also only realised after some days that there were extra pillows in the cupboard, which were a big improvement. Another note, was poor communication, which I don't know if was due the accomodation or Booking.com's systems. In short, as this is a B&B the reception closes at 16:00, and you must let them know if you arrive later. Despite, entering expected arrival in the App and writing the accomodation via Booking.com I kept getting reminders from booking.com 'to let them know when I would arrive'. As such, I don't know if they received my messages, and since we expected to arrive around 15:45 potential delays was critical.

Great location. Incredible staff. Nice room.

Easy to get to, but at night it was very noisy .. room is on the second floor and there is much street noise. It was a decent value and filled our needs. But I'd be hard-pressed to recommend it as a great location for others to visit.
