Glimpse Hotel

Loved Glimpse Hotel. We got the suite and it was beautiful. They give you the whole floor with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a balcony. Loved the decor, the space, and the breakfast. Very good breakfast. The staff was wonderful. They answered all our questions about sights and food. The hotel is right next to Accademia Museum. Nothing

The staff was the best part about the property. Specifically the blonde front desk agent that worked in the mornings was very kind! We really appreciated all of the staff! The breakfast was very poor. The worst part was the cleanliness and the lack of AC. The air conditioning did not work properly and our room was incredibly warm (we understand the heat wave but for how much we paid we would have booked another hotel with better facilities). The room was not very clean and had gnats flying everywhere. Again, for the price it just was not worth it.

The location was perfect. The breakfast was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Alina at the front desk, was wonderful and always had a smile on her face. The young lady who helped us with our breakfast every morning was also great! Not a thing

The Glimpse Hotel was a lovely surprise for us, first-time visitors to Florence. The location was superb, with the Duomo in view when you step out the front door, and within walking distance of most of Florence - and we did walk about 8-10 miles per day during our 4 day stay! The elegant room was super clean and well-appointed, just like the hotel, with lovely art, a coffee maker and other special touches that made us feel very welcome. The a la carte breakfast every morning was delicious, and the staff was always friendly and professional. Definitely recommend staying here! The bathroom was very tight, not much room to turn around.

THE STAFF ROCKS: Mario, who checked us in was incredible. He actually had somebody get a room ready for us fast because when we arrived there, we had had zero sleep at a horrible AirBnb experience the night before (on that note, never use AirBnb). Yulia!! So many things to say about her. She works at the bar/restaurant and when we got there we were very tired. So she made sure we were all set with espresso and cappuccinos. She brought us water without even asking. She is a great girl. The other girl at the front desk, who checked us out in the morning was fantastic as well. So polite, kind, and professional. She is from the Ukraine, but like an idiot I can’t recall her name. I’m sorry, but she certainly deserves a lot of credit as well. As for the hotel, obviously it is a prime location (that can be seen on any mapping app), the bed was super comfortable, the jetted bathtub was a dream, the rooms are very big, great insulation against the very loud city and the complementary water and coffee was greatly appreciated. 5-star all the way. 11 score (on a 1-10 scale). Location was great; staff at reception and restaurant were very kind and friendly Poor value for money — quite expensive for what it is. The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable, water leaked out during showers, and the sink was too small. The selection of shampoo and body wash was limited and not enough.
