Hotel Bonifacio

Not much I didn't like about the hotel itself. The area around the hotel made me a bit nervous.

The only thing - the bed was split, i.e. consisting of two mattresses under one sheet. Not good for cuddles ?

The distance from the center

Location great. Breakfast included nice. Staff great. AC good. We were in room 3 which turned out to be a handicap room. So set up was kinda weird for someone not in a wheelchair. That’s not too bad but it’s on bottom floor next to kitchen and they start setting up early. Also broken faucet. Broken doorknob on bathroom. Tiny shower and pillows were the worse. We probably could have asked for different ones but just too tired. Also no plugs except right at your head on headboard. With multiple plugs needed it was awkward.

Location of the hotel was very good for our visit. It is clean. It is 10-15 minutes walk from Duomo cathedral. Staff is polite and helpful. We had breakfast included, offer was a bit weak. Offer of food at the buffet could be diverse. More fresh vegetables, two different selection of cheese, better choice of juice selection. Something that should not happen is that for two consecutive days offers from buffet has been finished before the end of the breakfast, 30 minutes before end, It didn’t happen to us because we were early but I heard stuff explaining to other guests that something was missing. That should be improved by management. Apart from that stuff was cleaning tables very fast. If you are arriving to Florence by your car, problem is parking since you need to walk from nearest decent with price parking at least 10 minutes. Hotel is situated in TLZ (traffic limited zone), which is great by the way for everyone, but not so great if you need to walk with suitcases. Just be prepared for a walk.

The buffet breakfast was great, location very close to the city centre and the staff was polite and professional. As there was not hot water in our room they didn’t charged us the city tax. We didn’t have any hot water in the room, meaning a cold shower in the morning with a 2 year old was not ideal. We were made aware that there were some problem but we were asked to check about water pressure. The room had sign of water damage and the smell of humidity, particularly in the bathroom was quite noticeable.

Great value for money. Extremely friendly staff, well located, in a central but quiet area. Overall, very positive. Although the breakfast was good, it didn't have many options. Bathroom and shower were also a bit small.

Bonifacio hotel located nearby Firenze SMN train station, well maintained and the services from the staff on duty was excellent.

Locations No public parking

The price benefit balance was ideal. The staff was helpful. It is necessary to inform the facility about car parking in advance.

Good location, close to center and everything important (1 km from the Dome, e.g.). Not too expensive. Good breakfast included in the price. Kind staff. The room was big enough, but the bathroom was tight and the shower was fixed (not a good idea). Overall I found it needs a renovation/update.

Location, Cleanliness and responsive staff. Breakfast could have been better. more English Channel on TV could have helped people from other countries.

The staff was so wonderful and helpful! The bed was a little uncomfortable and the water never really became hot but just lukewarm.

The staff was very polite and professional. The location is great to explore the city. Breakfast was varied and the quality of products was good. The room was spacious, clean and with all the necessary amenities. Highly recommended! We stayed only for one night but I wish we booked more. Thank you for the great stay!
