Hotel Giglio

High ceilings, plenty of room, helpful hosts, and refreshments in the morning Weak AC (might need repair) and hot bathroom during our mid-summer stay. Using the bathroom was uncomfortable since it was hot in there and our AC was not strong enough. Had to rush using the toilet and be prepared to sweat immediately after your shower.

Not good. Very limited items. No veg. Hot item. Owner was not flexible to open little early in the morning so we can catch our flight. No offer for boxed breakfast either. Helped us with luggage. Room too small not practical. Twin beds are like child beds.

Great location within walking distance of both the city center and the train station. Roberto was kind enough to recommend local spots to visit and explain how to get there. I'm going to start with the positive: the owners were friendly and welcoming, however the hotel is outdated and overpriced, I ended up paying $894 for 4 nights and it wasn't worth it. But that isn't the reason for this review. An incident occurred during my stay a bag containing souvenirs that I had purchased in Venice worth around €60 went missing from my room. When I reported it I was told that they will ask the housekeeping staff if they had taken it. They never got back to me with an answer so the night before we left I asked if the bag have been found and they only limited to say that housekeeping staff didn't take it, no solution, no further explanation nothing, which is very unprofessional attitude because they are responsable for whatever happens in their hotel. The least they could have done was reimburse me for the loss, but they didn't care at all. I don't recommend Giglio hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The towels were changed every 3 days.

We loved our stay at Hotel Giglio! The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in room A which was wonderful. The bedroom is the largest we’ve had during our Italy trip with plenty of space for 2 large suitcases. There’s a large closet for clothes and the bathroom has a separate entrance so you don’t disturb your partner if you use it during the night. The location is easily walkable to all tourist attractions. We would definitely stay here again! Nothing

The management (probably the owners) work to make your stay very nice. Clean large room, good for a family. Very nice breakfast.

This furnishings were a little older in general, but the shower looks to be recently updated so we appreciated that.

Close walking distance to shops & attractions. The owners were most accommodating. The breakfast selections were varied and really good. Improve signage to indicate hotel is on the first floor (not the ground floor) of the building.

Breakfast excellent. Staff kind , cheerful, more than helpful. They kept my luggage for the morning. They helped me get to English mass at the duomo. They ordered a taxi for me and waited outside with me to meet the taxi. The building had an elevator which I did not expect. Quiet room. Good air conditioning. Professional and knowledgeable staff. Nothing.

The hotel is located at a quiet stretch of main road, and the room has high ceilings. I felt lived in a palace! There are only two to three blocks away from the major attractions! The owners provided excellent services and the breakfast was great addition with the best quality! All amenities worked well except our handheld shower head had lower water pressure.

Loved the hosts, location and breakfast! Loved the way they welcomed us downstairs, loved the distance from the tram stop and city center. A super experience. No fancy things here. There is nothing I did not like.

The hotel was very convenient to my daughter’s study abroad campus, as well as a short walk from public transit and fine dining. Nothing.

The Hotel Giglio is in a historic building on the 2nd floor, and is in an excellent, quite location with easy access to the tram launching our daily adventures. The owners, Marco and Manuela were lovely and wonderful to speak with on all things Italy and traveling. The breakfast was delicious, the bathroom clean and of good size, and the room was simple but comfortable. I highly recommend as I prefer to stay in places that retain a historical quality and a personal attention to creating acquaintances.
