Hotel San Giorgio & Olimpic Florence

While some reviews might call this hotel "outdated", I'd say it is "retro" - on purpose. Sure, you have a "granny's wardrobe" in the room, and a big brass key you have to return every time you leave the hotel (but - you get a huge smile from the receptionists, so it's a good deal :-) ), and if that doesn't suit you, find something else. But, the hotel is spotless clean, everything works (AC, water, showers, etc), very comfortable bed, decent breakfast, perfect location... I'd be more than happy to stay here again. Nothing special. If I really have to complain, I'd suggest having something warm for the breakfast: hotdogs, fried eggs... But that's just a hungry wish... :-)

Close to the train station and amenities Small room for the price, a/c didn’t adjust.

After several high stress "self check in" hotel stays, it was refreshing to have a helpful human being behind the front desk. The location between the train station and the main sights of Florence was excellent. They held my bags so that I could visit the Galileo museum before catching my train on the day after my stay. Good old fashioned full service hotel with a good breakfast also. The bed was a bit on the hard side. But I slept on the extra comforter and had a good night's sleep.

Everything was perfect

Hotel is right next to the train station, very easy to get to from the airport. Also right across from St. Mary Novella, a must-see church in Florence. Everything is close by -- San Giovanni, the Duomo, leather markets, restaurants. Staff was friendly and professional. Free European breakfast with the room. (Be sure to leave your key at the front desk when you leave the hotel.) Nothing to not like. Excellent place to stay. Highly recommended.

Very near to the train station Nothing

Considering the age and maintenance, it is ok!

Staff not that friendly, one even stopped me from filling up my water bottle, said only one small glass per person and I needed a bit more to take my medicine later that night. Found that unnecessarily rude

Very well location, very closed to Duomo, main attractions an Central Station. We have to leave our baggages close to the Front Desk, a little bit unsecured. Small room and besides the elevator there were a lot of small stairs to get to the room The breakfast room was very small and crowded and the chairs too big for the tables. The shower courtain fell down We can listen people talking in another rooms, poor privacy

Location was excellent Two of the staff were lovely Leonardo and Oliver but Adrian was an absolute rude and arrogant person that should get a different job. He is not suited to hospitality at all. Wouldn’t even look up from the computer when asked basic questions. Would just grunt and point.

Perfect location. Close to Santa Maria Novella station. And few minutes from piazza Duomo The reception 24/7. Normal Italian breakfast. Vintage and nice hotel with clean rooms. Very good value for money.

Location was great for walking around to see the city attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful. The twin bed mattresses were hard uncomfortable per my children but full size be was good.

Bathroom needs to be more clean. There were no soap provided
