B Ocean Resort Fort Lauderdale Beach

Overall, I had no complaints about the result, friendly staff, reliable valet, good food, and great location.

I loved our stay! The staff are so friendly, all of them! Bed was comfortable, room was clean, access to just about everything you could need. We had an Ocean View that was beautiful, and had the choice of two pools! Couldn't have been better. Thank you Ocean B!!!

Good place to stay

Our room was clean with a gorgeous Intracoastal/marina view, though there were a few minor room details that could be improved. One of our double beds had a deep dip on one side, the shower pressure was more of a mild mist, and the in-room coffee maker hadn't been used in a while as the water reservoir was dusty. The AC thermostat felt a bit off as well, staying fairly warm even when lowered. On the plus side, the bathroom was clean, daily complimentary bottled water was a great touch, and the room had a small fridge (a microwave is available in the lobby). Beach & Pool: You get free beach access and chairs, but umbrellas on the sand cost $40/day (free umbrella access is at the pool only). The beach had a lot of seaweed during our stay, but the resort setup is still lovely. Parking: Valet is available. We used the SpotHero app which directed us to the self-parking lot right across the street. Overall, a great resort experience with wonderful hospitality.

The location on the beach is magnificent

There were several things that could have made our experience much better. The phone in our room was not working, which was inconvenient. There was also a QR code on the nightstand, but we did not scan it because it appeared as though it had simply been left there by someone. We were never informed that guests were expected to scan it. It wasn’t until our last night, when one of us scanned it out of curiosity, that we discovered what it was for. Better communication with guests about these services would have been helpful. Housekeeping was another concern. Staff entered our room while we were out, made the bed, but did not change the sheets. I ultimately had to remove the sheets myself. We also felt the breakfast buffet could use some improvement. The continental-style selection did not seem worth the price, particularly with the prepared/boxed eggs. Changing up the menu and offering a more appealing selection might help attract more guests to the breakfast service. The additional $45-per-day resort fee, plus sales tax and county tax is too high, it adds up. I must say, our view on the 9th floor was spectacular. Overall we made excellent use of our time there.

It was nice that you could use the pool and beach access while waiting for your room to be ready.

We should have gotten money off if they knew this in advance. Don’t take our money then tell us the info. But staff was very friendly and helpful

It was ok but I do not think I will stay here again, not what I was expecting for a balcony and the price.

Absolutely the best hotel we’ve stayed at. The view the staff the rooms the pools the location!! Everything was perfect we can’t wait to come back!!

Lo que no me gusto fue que me robaron unas prendas del carro algun trabajador del valet ,llamé para quejarme y supuestamente no vieron nada por las cámaras que pusiera una denuncia a la policia fue la sugerencia! Horrible nunca mas volveré,ni lo recomiendo en lo absoluto a nadie

My stay was overall cool. The hotel wasn’t as up to par as the pictures make it seem.

The resort itself has nice amenities. However, the rooms are very outdated. Our room was dirty. I’m not sure the cleaning staff attempted to clean it before we checked in. There was dust in the bathroom, a stain on the comforter, the lamp shades were old and discolored, stains on the walls and wall art. Nails and bolts coming through the ceiling, the floors looked and felt dirty, the room didn’t smell fresh we had to ask several times for a trash can. We finally got one on day two of check in. I was told by house keeping management that someone would reach out the next day to change our room. That never happened. On top of that I had to see the supply closet open all day every day which was across from our room. I think on the last day of our stay the cleaning staff deliberately and carelessly refreshed the room. There was the remaining half roll of toilet tissue, no hand towels and only two towels much different from the previous days where we had about 4 of everything. If it wasn’t for Valencia at the front desk who went out of her way to make our stay special and the cool bartender Enzo we would have checked out and a found a much nicer hotel to celebrate our anniversary. This place was not a roach motel but it was not the best. I felt uncomfortable throughout my entire stay while in my room. I will not be back unfortunately because the private beach was amazing.

Chaise available on beach and extra $30-40 for umbrella. They did have games out. Rooms were clean and staff was polite. If you’re lucky you can catch a mermaid show in the bar.

I did have an issue with the sheets. (Cleaning services can sometimes be slipping) However, the staff took excellent care of me. I will definitely return to this hotel Great beach access. Great tiki eats ans drinks by the pool Cheers! Lynnette Marie

The property is close to the beach and have nice pools. The servers in the pool area were very nice! My room was not clean. Both the faucet and the shower didn’t drain properly. I didn’t have soap neither shower gel in the bathroom, I advised the hotel team and still they didn’t bring in over. I notified the front desk team on Friday’s night and still Sunday morning we didn’t have shower gel. Beach towels were old and bad condition. The AC in my sisters room stopped working in the middle of the night, it got fixed within 2 hours but still.

Not sure what’s happened with this hotel. It was always so luxurious but my stay was filled with people who had zero respect for their surroundings. The hallways, the beach and many common areas reeked like Marijuana. Two couples began fighting at the beach. Honestly, not enjoyable. The type of individuals this hotel is now attracting makes me want to stay as far away as possible.
