This was our first time at FDM so I was not sure what to expect. When we showed up the hotel was super cute looking and in a great a location. The staff was very friendly and they were very accommodating. It was all very good.

Love the location - walking distance to the beach and to get to town at night. You can easily rent bikes. the breakfast is phenomenal! The staff was super friendly and helpful.

The breakfast arrangements were excellent! Service and food selection and quality were outstanding. Shower was very, very small and the AC temps needs to be a bit cooler for a better room comfort.

The location was great for what our family and friends had planned during our stay. The breakfast service and food selection were EXCELENT, and the courtyard dining Al Fresco was just so beautiful and charming! The majority of the staff truly helped when asked. Lucia thank you for taking my late evening diner order! I hope you get a fan when you're working the front desk again! lol We did not use the pool, but it was towards the rear of the property. The pool was very large and offers many beautiful suntanning chairs and a lot of ample space between guests. I only had two issues while there. There was a major HEAT wave for the whole week we were there. Which I could understand the difficulty of the resort to maintain a comfortable temperature for their guests. I wasn't very happy with the Air Conditioning in my room, #209. Compared to my daughter's room in 103, they had very good cooling. I would call the front desk every evening to decrease the temp in my room, as it was very warm condition. But our last night was just too hot for me! I honestly think management wasn't fully aware of the complaint. The other minor issue was our shower size. It was one of those corner double door showers, roughly 3ft x 3ft and I'm a bigger size side for a guy. lol Every time a turned the doors would open and water would spill out. Nothing crazy, but just an issue with cleaning up a lot of water from the floor after each shower. The water temp was great though! Like I said, nothing too crazy but something I never experienced during my travels.
